What'cha doing air gun related today?

Shot 50, 75, 100 yds w the max 1. Barracuda 30.86 grouped about 1.5 inches at 100. Will have to spend more time getting to know her. She seems to have a good barrel. The Nova did well at 50 yds but I had a 3x9 scope. Forgot to change it and it was hard to see past that.

Oh, wow got an email that my Air Force .30 conversion kit with TJ barrel is complete and is on the way. 🥳 It was ordered December 20th as a Christmas/Birthday gift for me and has been getting machined to fit my Condor. I am pretty excited about this. My plan is to move the Condor .22 slug barrel to my Escape UL and put this .30 barrel in the Condor so it will have the slug tank rated for 3600PSI to push the heavier .30 pellets and slugs. I was only using 2600PSI on the .22 slugs and I may get a Condor tank for the Escape UL later on. I have a .30 wadcutter mold that makes beautiful slugs that I hope will shoot well in this. I also have hundreds of different lite weight slugs that I was testing in an AEA HP .30 I had years ago. I am hoping some of them will shoot well in this as well. This is a good day. Another wind buster.

VO – Muzzle velocity (first shot or baseline velocity)
V1 – Velocity at 1 yard
V50 – Velocity at 50 yards
V100 – Velocity at 100 yards
V120 – Velocity at 120 yards
V150 – Velocity at 150 yards
KEQ – Kinetic energy at that distance (ft‑lbs)
PF – Power factor (slug weight × velocity ÷ 1000) Test was done with temp was 38 F. I believe these numbers will become tighter once I start seizing.

Received my LEE .309 sizing dies today for the .308 Texan. Once Hunters Supply gets their page back online, I’ll grab some .310 slugs to run through and start checking fit and consistency.

Still waiting on the NOE sizer — a little over a month now — so the LEE setup will keep things moving until that finally shows up.

Pic below.

Moved the Condor .22 slug barrel to the Escape UL and installed the .300 TJ barrel and components in the Condor slug gun. I shot a couple pellets from the .300 just to see that it works okay, didn't take the time to put up a target. Will get back to it when I have more time. I have Buckrails for both of them.

Despite the windy day, sun's out guns out. So took Vapor Max to the 25 yard line. 2 shot zero check on FT, followed by approximately dime sized and smaller targets on challenge paper, followed by some quick "FT" practice from 20-45 yards. I say "FT" because I shot it off rest at my table. About 45 minutes, and 40 pellets, worth of quick fun. 20260326_155419.webp

I spy a paint scheme fitting Mr. @JimT66 😎

Ohhh Cool! That is such a great looking combo. I did a couple of AR's in that pattern, back in my heyday of Duracoat. Wish could still do it! I have a couple that would look great like that myself(pcp's). I wonder what the upcharge for that in Ceracoat is? I'm sure it's rediculous.

“Today I’m introducing the REAPER .357 — a heavily modified build that began as an AEA Challenger .357 but no longer behaves like one. With the internal work, tuning, and performance changes, it’s become its own platform, so it deserved a new name.”
