Others Turning up the Reg?

So right now my Zelos is factory set at 2,000 PSI.
Groups are great at well under .5 @ 50yds.
18.3gr. Pellets are going 960
23gr slugs at 925
Is there anything to be gained by upping the pressure to say 2500 PSI.
I don't want to loose accuracy.

Yes you lose usable shots and the gun may become a bit more harsh because to get back to the same velocity you may have to re tune the gun. Word of advice don’t break what’s not broken unless you like that. Umarex service is garbage so I personally wouldn’t mess with it too much. If you want to mess with tuning you’re probably better off with an Avenger where AV will actually help you. Just my .02. I’ve done this a while just trying to save you a headache. Umarex offers adjustments sure but probably will void the warranty blaming you for doing something wrong.

I saw your groups you shot at 25 and 50Y....pretty outstanding especially the slugs! Neither of my MUCH more expensive pcps will do that with slugs but both will replicate that with pellets easily. You'd "gain" less shot per fill, more stress on internals, possibly a broken gun, and almost certainly less accuracy.
Your current ammo speeds are right in the accuracy ballpark, any faster and your pellet groups will surely open up. My Ghost shoots 18.13gr at 998fps on minimum and accuracy is dismal....just to fast for a skirted pellet! You miiiiight get tighter groups with the slugs though but I'd probably leave it as is.

Squirrel, Rabbit and Turkey.

Just remember, if the air pressure is still exiting the barrel after the projectile has left the barrel not only is that wasted air but it could upset the projectile flight which will cause in accuracy.

Another thing to remember, a miss with 100 fpe is still a miss. You have more than enough power for squirrels and rabbits. For Turkey you'll need to do a head shot IMO.

I agree, why change anything. If you want to experiment, buy a dedicated Zelos to work on . Otherwise you'll end up chasing the tiger like many of us spend our time doing (still time well spent ). What ES do you see in your pellet and slug groups? Should be excellent with those tight groups. Keep us posted.
