Good luckBetween two doctors appointments I’m going to contact AOA to see how much they will allow me to trade in a Western Airgun Sidewinder Compact ( that I just purchased) on a Mordax Venom. Fingers crossed!

The HW pcps are my least favorite of the high end "classics"Off topic here but just looking for advice, I'd like to treat myself to a really Top Tier PCPAir Rifle and I was considering the Daystate Huntsman Revere or the Weihrauch HW100 any thoughts or advice from you experienced PCP air gunners?
Interesting.....HW are your least favorite? Can you expand on that thought? The HW pcps are my least favorite of the high end "classics"
I'd seriously look at an AirArms S510 or Daystate Revere (or wolverine if your ok with a bottle), but yeah definitely check out of the thread @FL22 highlighted.

Tell me more about the katran LB… I have a chance of getting one for a good price… it’s unchoked as well which I love… but beyond that I can’t find a lot on them.I just placed an order at UA' guns for another AirMaks Katran & a couple tins of slugs. The moving sale got me !! I'll probably catch it from the Queen next month when the CC statement comes in. This is 3 Katrans for me now, a Long Bottle .22, a LB HP in .25 & now the LB HP in.22. I was torn between an "Open Box" standard bottle or the HP, both on sale for around the same $. I decided to go with the HP model as I can tune down my current Long B .22 for pellets again. It's currently tweaked for 23-25gr slugs. Oh well , off to find a close dog pen/ kennel close by for later...
I’m not much for modding guns . Turning hammer springs on the Katran is ALL I do. HP has the larger plenum & I have no idea if you can convert a “ standard” plenum to a HP one. My .25 does ~ 60-65ftlbs w/ 35gr pellets. My .22 Long B was tweaked by UA to spit 23-25gr slugs at close to 900fps. ( 50+ ftlbs) The triggers are superb ( 6-8oz’s). Best info I’ve got. UA is the warranty center for Katran & have done right by me.Tell me more about the katran LB… I have a chance of getting one for a good price… it’s unchoked as well which I love… but beyond that I can’t find a lot on them.
How easy to tune? What’s the power level like in .25? Is it easy to turn it into the HP version? Can you find the bigger plenum on the aftermarket?
Absolutely....so first there is the fill probe (Interesting.....HW are your least favorite? Can you expand on that thought?
The only one I would have is theAbsolutely....so first there is the fill probe (), not easy to adjust power, the .177 is a bit hot, the .22 is a bit weak, shots per fill is sub-par(max fill pressure i believe is 2900psi). It lags behind the others in most of the categories, and is a bit outdated imo. Lastly it is (subjective i know!) the ugliest of the bunch. In no way am I saying its a poor choice, but given what your after I'd look hard at the AA or the Daystate.
Thanks, I spoke to one of the guys at Airguns of Arizona and he told me that the HW100 and Daystate are really good choices so I kind of asked him which one would he personally pick and he said the Daystate Hunstman Revere would get the nod. He said that the Daystate 5 year Warrantee and simplicity of design was a better selling point. He basically told me that the Daystate was the Toyota Camry In terms of Air Rifle Quality & Reliability! But. you guys are making me seriously consider the Air Arms S510 too!Absolutely....so first there is the fill probe (), not easy to adjust power, the .177 is a bit hot, the .22 is a bit weak, shots per fill is sub-par(max fill pressure i believe is 2900psi).
