Not everyone like complex “Christmas tree” reticles, so if you are looking for a simple Reticle Hawke riflescope, you’ll likely be interested in the new Endurance 30 WA 4.5-27×56 model. It’s was shown at the 2025 IWA OutdoorClassics show and is scheduled to be available soon…

This new scope features the company’s LR2 FD Reticle that’s located in the second focal plane.

A variant of the classic L4 reticle, the LR2 FD uses a more open outer post design to keep more of the target visible while aiming and offers extra aim points for holdover. There’s a red fiber optic center dot to give a sharp aim point for quick reference and target acquisition.

Hawke says that the thick outer posts make visibility easy when hunting in low-light conditions, while a fine upper post doesn’t obstruct your view of the target.

Extra holdover aim points are included on the fine lower post to give graduation and accuracy when shooting at longer distances.

Now it’s true that these holdover points are not spaced at regular MOA- or MIL-intervals. However, most airgunners will want to calibrate the reticle of their new scope to the drop of their chosen pellet or slug. So that may be an acceptable trade-off for the simplicity of the reticle, particularly for this scope’s intended use in hunting.

The elevation and windage turrets have 1/4 MOA clicks, with side-adjustable parallax correction down to 10 Yards.

The Endurance 30 WA 4.5-27×56 has a 30mm diameter tube that’s combined with a large 56mm objective lens and Hawke’s H5 optics, which combine a wide field of view with generous eye relief.

Plus – of course – the large 6x magnification range can be a great benefit when hunting. The 4.5 x magnification setting gives a Field of View of 4.9 degrees (25.8 Feet) that could be used for glassing. Then zoom-in to take the shot…

The weight is 24.3 Oz. Street Price is $799.99.

I like that reticle. I've been going back to more of a simple reticle. I like the most of the Hawke Reticles as it is. The scopes I have a problem with are the ones with the small micro dot in the middle.
Hard to see that micro dot for sure. Ive went with mostly Westhunter Optics side focus scopes as they have an easier to see pronounced target dot.

Having a recital like that in such heavy of a magnification doesn't look very useful at all. What they are asking is about the price I paid for my Frontier a few years ago, wonder what those go for now? Lol IMO the Hawke Air Max is a fantastic scope, great glass, simple and usable reticle...I like it better than my Frontier for about half the price.
