Let’s Look At The Air Venturi MicroStrike In More Detail

The Air Venturi MicroStrike PCP pistol/carbine was announced at the 2025 SHOT Show. Hard Air Magazine brought you some information about it at that time.

However now there’s more detail becoming available, so let’s look a little more deeply. Personally, I find these compact PCPs very interesting.

As a happy plinker myself, compact PCPs really appeal to me for backyard can-popping and similar low-stress, high-fun types of close range shooting. They’re also an ideal way to share the fun of airgun shooting with family and friends. The small size, light weight and relatively low power also aid with this.

New but essential information about the MicroStrike is price and availability estimate. Pyramyd is showing the selling price as $399.99. The estimated availability date is also now shown on the Pyramyd website as August 25, 2025. So let’s say late summer – that’s really not so far away…

The MicroStrike looks as if it will be ideal for use with a short scope, or red dot sight. However, it includes front and rear open sights. These slide into the Picatinny rail grooves and look to be locked in place with setscrews. This gives windage adjustment for both front and rear open sights.

In more detail…

There’s a removable folding stock. This is attached using the vertical Picatinny rail at the rear of the action.

BTW. The hole visible in the Picatinny rail just above the two fixing screws is provided to allow for adjustments to the hammer spring tension.

The stock can then be folded to one side. However, the gun cannot be cocked in this configuration as the left-side cocking lever is blocked by the stock.

Another feature that’s becoming clear is the provision of an externally-adjustable regulator. That’s included in the rear part of the HPA tube under the barrel. There’s also a second pressure gauge in the underside, as we can see in the photograph below.

All this, plus three calibers (.177, .22 and .25) and the capability to interchange barrels will clearly make the Air Venturi MicroStrike PCP pistol/carbine a very attractive product for many airgunners.

OK, I probably shouldn't say a thing yet, but I am not very good at doing that, so I am just going to throw this out there, from basically hearing heresay. Forums are for talking, not shutting up I guess.

It seems that I heard that they were going to charge quite a bit of money for this gun, more than typical for the brand, compared to a Notos, which is a SPA product too, no matter who is selling it. Which is, what it is. They can charge whatever they want. You choose to pay it, or you don't. BUT, I also heard that the new FX pistol/carbine is going to be priced lower than normal for their brand, and that looks to be a lot better deal to me than this unit. So when looking at the offerings as a whole, the choice isn't so clear cut. It's good to be aware that they are supposedly going to be really close to each other in price so you know to look at both and don't have regrets down the road.

Maybe, just maybe, if AV knows that people will be opting to buy the cheaper FX over their premium priced little Microstrike, they will drop the price a little to give people the nudge. Worth it to put a bug in their ear.

EDIT: I SHOULD HAVE SAID NOTHING! Appears that the Micro Strike will be a significantly lower price than the FX.
EDIT TO THE EDIT: NO IDEA WHAT THE PRICE WILL BE, COULD BE $1000, CRAZY PRICES OUT THERE!

The MicroStrike is not manufacturer by SPA - to the best of my knowledge.

That would be surprising to me, don't they make everything? lol

Regardless though, my point still stands if the pricing goes the way they were talking on the different videos I was watching from the trade shows. I just came away thinking that if FX actually prices that unit affordably it is going to steal the marketshare, and my my money too, finally. I'm not holding my breath on it though.

I just did some looking and found that Huma Air is selling the Micro Strike for 400 Euros, that's a lot cheaper than they said originally. They are going to sell a couple of boatloads of these things. The FX was supposed to be around $750 street, which I will believe it when I see it.

I just found this too! WTH $999.95!! The dust needs to settle on this thing! I have no idea what's going on with the prices.

WOW! I'm out on this topic, I'm sorry I even looked at it. Do a search for yourselves, prices are all over the place. How can Huma Air be out of stock when they haven't even gone on sale here yet? The world of airgun marketing is a strange one.

PA also lists it as out of stock due to being a pre-order, and a price of $400 as mentioned in the article.

Top Air appears to be one of those sites run as either a tax write-off or dependent on people so desperate to get something they'll pay anything to have it.

At $400 this thing has a lot of great options. Regulated. 3 calibers, removable AND foldable stock, threaded for a moderator. I like.

The one thing I wish we could push manufacturers to start doing though, is this...

Whatever energy level they are advertising , should also be the same energy level used to advertise the shot count.

If they advertise 25 ft lbs , they shouldn't advertise 26 shots at 15 ft lbs and put that in the print else where, like done here on the microstrike.

FX is notorious for that on their spec sheets and it always urked me , but also, it is on us to do our due deligence and read.
