Sweeeeet....definitely a bucket list trip!
I'd suggest a .22 or .25 with adjustable power and pellets( not slugs) That way you can dial er down if not needed or crank it up for the big uns/long shots. Or....just bring 2 Airguns.
We'll all expect some pics if you go!
Based on similar threads list, I'd say Iguana Solutions is a possibility. This is on my list of things to do as well. I talk regularly with a guy on reddit who does iguana peating/hunting for some construction sites. That is about the extent of my knowledge on the topic though.

Yeah, the video I posted has some eye candy but there is also a few good reasons to go with Python Cowboy. One, you are shooting Edgun .30 L2's. Two, he uses a dog to collect the kills! Saves everyone a lot of time and grief. Three, a good boat to work out of, no hoofing it, if you don't want to. If you can afford it, it looks like a pretty solid outfit to book a trip with.

I’ve watched a lot of his videos. He has some good ones for sure. We also found a smaller outfit that does a combination iguana hunt and peacock bass excursion. It’ll be one of my suppliers footing the bill, but he asked me to present him with some guides to look into.
I went into shock when i saw that pair of, er, ahh,.....iguanas!

Side note…. I really think I NEED a better rifle before I go. I kinda want an FX M4. I think the longer barrel but more compact size offered by the bullpup design would be ideal. The escape would carry great, but be too slow if a follow up were needed. And tank size is too small. The Benjamin Gunnar would be great as far as shot count, power, and follow up, but carrying would be much more awkward.
I think airgun revisions had some Benjamin guns they where blowing out at good pricing?
also you might look at the AoA sights used guns they almost always have some bargins

So….. I have to have a Western Sidewinder….. That’s what I’m taking from this…Guy I know doing it does with Notos and Avenger. Was also running xm1 bullshark, but benched it for issues. Before that everything I saw was with Gamo Swarm break barrels.

I keep an eye on AoA. Never shopped airgun revisions though. Need to check them out.

Nah take the bushbuck!! Lol in all seriousness an Impact M4, Brk Ghost, etc would be exactly what I would take too, good shots per fill and adjustable power/compact. Take a small bottle and maybe a sling with and you'd be good for days.

Though the mere prospect of exploding iguanas does bring me great joy, I don’t know if I could afford to take the bushbuck! lol. It’s about to get it’s time to shine too though. I’ve also been invited to go take a shot at some nuisance hogs and plan to bring it.
As Papa T mentioned that the Notos is a good option and its lightweight and easy to carry. They are under $300.00 and can be modded with different options if you choose to or shoot it like it is. Its one of my favorites in my collection!
