Want another real beasty....Check out the Uragan King! I love lots of shots buuuut There is a thread about it on Ham somewhere. Agreed tube's look better (minus the Zelos) in general but a 480cc bottle can look fine. The Ghost HP and the new FX M4 look great with em imo.

Do your bottles hang low, do they wobble to and fro.... That's just to much for me. Single tube, or small bottle only for me anyway. I don't even like that double tube pistol. Just sayin. To each they on.

100% once it becomes unwieldly it's too much, and kinda bench only. I can walk around with my without issue, being honest I was more afraid of the side mount gauges getting wacked. So far also non issue thankfully.

I have seen several I would absolutely love to have, and they had the side mount Gauges as well. That was the first fear that hit me. How long till I bust one.

How much the rifle weigh? Is it unweildy to carry through the trees to a shooting spot, or shoot freestanding?

Then you look at that big gap of the umarex zelos with the tube .. lol.

It just begs for a bottle to fill that space ..lol

And a 580cc carbon fiber bottle and valve is exactly what I installed on mine. Still lightweight and gets 90 plus shots per fill! I'd rather shoot more and fill less.

Not for carrying around for sure. Bench rest only. Not unwieldy but on the heavy side.

To be honest - I've really hated seeing everyone upgrade their 480cc bottles to 700cc. I think they mostly look horrible. But to be fair, I did upgrade my .30 Red Wolf to a 700cc bottle - but it's purely for bench duty. Anything I'm carrying with me is gonna be lightweight. I actually really like the 200 (220?) cc bottle on the Uragan compact, but I'm also a big fan air tubes vs bottles. They make for a more slender gun and many of them are 400cc or more.

They need giant bottles because they aren't very efficient with air...at least a big bore has an excuse. Take a gander at this behemoth... somewhere someone is foaming at the mouth to fit a double bottle on it.

@Luis Leon Aesthetically I prefer tube styled reservoirs because I like bullpups for hunting purposes and they make the guns more compact. Plus they feel better when shouldering an air rifle with a tube reservoir, at least they do to me. I also like the fitment of tube reservoirs within bipod yokes and tripod saddles. I don't need to take a lot of shots with my small bore air rifles. If I can get 3 mags from a fill, that's good to me. But I'm not so hung up on the look of a bottle gun since I got a Brocock Bantam Sniper HR early on in my PCP journey. I grew accustomed to the look of that gun quickly.

For big bores the bottle is ok considering that these guns push substantially larger projectiles. Like Airforce Texans (even their smaller bores) the placement in the rear in nicer looking. I'm not so excited about resting my head on the reservoir, but I don't really have a fear of it either. Like Dana mentioned above, in the semi-auto Western Sidewinders/Rattlers then its a "must have" to maintain a decent shot count and wide range of power adjustability. Functionally the bottle can keep you afield or at the bench longer before needing to top off.

I love big bottles.


It’s more about shot count with high power airguns. While in competition and using aforementioned high power airguns, it is very distracting and sometimes untimely to have to refill your rig. When you’ve figured the wind and you are on a roll, you don’t want to have to stop your momentum because you’ve reached reg pressure

For me, I like the look of big bottles or small bottles. I like tube guns as well. It’s about their purpose. I tell you though, if I’m hitting my mark and winning, it looks fantastic to me
