Seems a lot of the HAM membership owns, or has interest in owning, a Huntsman Revere. Thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post photos & share stories of not only the Revere, but all of the rifles in the Huntsman bloodline. Revere, Revere Safari, Regal, Regal XL, Regal HR, Classic, Classic XL, Harrier, X2, Grand Prix, FTR, Mark I, Mark 2... well, you get the picture. @DaystateAmerica - feel free to correct and/or add to my impromptu list :).

Post those glamour shots. Tell us about your Field Target exploits. Recount some of your favorite hunts. Regale us with tales of yore, such as the time you locked eyes with an angry Cape Chipmunk; having only your trusty Huntsman in .177 Nitro to save you from certain death.

From the list above, this HAMmer has owned:
- Classic XL in .20 (with aftermarket regulator)
- Regal XL in .22 (unregulated)
- Regal XL in .177 (unregulated)
- Regal XLHR in .177 (factory Huma reg)
- Revere in .177 (factory Huma reg)
- Revere Safari in .177 (factory Huma reg)

Unfortunately, only found photos of the Reveres- will check my archives for the others.

Lots & lots of plinking. Paper targets, metallic silhouettes, knock down FT style targets, cans, bottles, golf balls, random leaves in the grass etc. Taken some chipmunks & pest birds when they get out of hand. Bagged some grey/fox squirrels, & one cottontail rabbit.
Recently took the Revere Safari to it's maiden FT match (1st "official" competition in which I used any Huntsman) - and won!

I use mine for 30 yard challenge target work in my yard. Unfortunately with a baby I haven’t had much time to dedicate to that in months. I still need to shoot a 200 with it. 197 is my highest way back in November

I have a .22 Harrier SE (pictured below), and HRXL's in .22 and .25. All three of these are left handed. This is the only LH Harrier SE .22 I have ever seen.
Gorgeous rifle! Does the SE designation indicate the stainless barrel?
Seen to remember a number of Huntsman models being available as lefties, either by standard production or special order, but don't think the walnut Revere ever got the LH treatment.

My understanding is that the Harrier line was released as an "affordable" version of the Huntsman. The metal features a parkerized rather than a blued finish, but its construction and operation is the same. I don't honestly know if the Harrier preceded or coincided with the early Huntsman, Mr. Archer might know. The regular Harrier was a little more plain looking, I think they had a beech stock. As you can tell, the SE was a real looker. I think the stock might be by Gary Kane...maybe????? Seems to me the rifle is circa 1997ish. I purchased it used a decade or so ago.

That's part of the reason I've got 2 AA rifles. One is LH and the other is Ambi, waited a few months for the Lefty and we'll worth it. The daystates compare in every other way but I wasn't about to spend on a RH only stock and find out it's horrible to shoot left handed. Have only ever seen RH models available for sale.

A shame they don't offer the walnut stock LH, the RH stock doesn't look like it would be compatible with lefties at all. Safari version is true ambidextrous, but imagine the walnut version is more popular.

Very likely I'd have been just as happy had I gone down the AA S### path all those moons ago. Or Weihrauch HW100. Can't remember the reason for going Huntsman over S###, maybe just availability at the time. Do remember why the HW100 was passed over- couldn't pin down specs for love nor money. To this day, still don't know how many shots per fill (@ 18-20 fpe) one should expect from the various tube/barrel length combinations.

Lol right about the HW100.... D&L had a sale on them and been looking for something for my brother, so I suggested that gun. Well specs were difficult to obtain! Ended up watching a bunch of reviews vids and ultimately passed on them. Not enough shots per fill or as much power as the other 2 options.

I have seen some videos where people swapped out the air cylinder for a bigger titanium one. I guess this is a really popular thing to do with the HW100, I know I would. I've never seen one with the ti cylinder in the classifieds either.
EDIT: 13 Sep, 2024 There is a ti cylindered HW100 for sale on the GTA classifieds right now $900
