What'cha doing air gun related today?

I need to test my target scoring system on a multi bull target and so I set a target up at a random distance. Turned out to be 16yds. Broke out the Diana 48 .177 springer. I haven’t shot it in a long time. Open sights, took a shot, disappointed I didn’t hit the target. Looked up close and there was a neat hole near the center. RWS Field series Super Magnum, anemic 845fps, just under 15fpe, sd of 2. Now to test a 12 bull 20m target at 11yds.

That is why I love these targets on the lower right hand.20261024_203647.webp
Easy to see the Bull (in the odd chance i hit it😓) 9 & 10 ring is Kill zone size of a plump sparrow.....i like it!
I noticed there is zero conformity between any brands of 5.5in targets that i have purchased.
@Billm can u fill the center dots in white by chance as an option? Does make hits alot easier to see.
While my 250z isn't a match-grade performer, it has better accuracy than I expected prior to buying it. I don't expect there are many sub-$440 air rifles that will keep 25-consecutive shots inside 1" at 50yds! Maybe I'm wrong???
Also means you have found an excellent Ammo/barrel match too! My Ghost runs Mrds and while it is good I HIGHLY doubt it will put 15 let alone 25 consecutive shots into an inch @ 50Y....now I must try this🤔😅!

Fun end of the trip, after shooting pumpkins we started a fire in the dark and the 3 dogs got an armadillo. We got them away after they caught it and shot it. The max 1 blew a few holes in it and we threw it in the burn pile in the back of the acreage.

My mom and my step dad got in a bickering argument before they could judge which one comes back to Omaha 🤦. I guess we will ask in the morning. Shot about 800 rounds from .22 to 30 cal and ran the pump a lot. Had a great time, nice to get away for a short time.

Edit: we all shot at 33-34 yards out pumpkins. My grown son on the left, myself and the girlfriend in the middle and the teenage twins on the right.

Sure I can do that. I was using a 100yd target that has a Red Bull and white x. I still couldn’t see it lol. IMG_7957.webp

Sitting outside in 36 deg weather looking for replacement pellets for my Notos. I was using their Brimstone 22 cal, 18.67 grain domed. Great accuracy. Umarex is only telling me they are out of stock, not if they will continue to sell them. No one else that I can see has any. I only have 4 tins left. I should of bought 20 when I had the chance once i saw what they could do with my gen 1 Notos. Ohh well
Fred, if you have not found any more Brimstone pellets yet. Walmart online has them, seen them today as matter of fact.

have you got those pumpkins entered yet?

Yesterday cleaned out the pumpkin 🎃 in preps for doing my carving. Then took a rifle out to test before beginning. The 12+ mph winds convinced me that yesterday was not the day to start my carve. So... pulled out some targets and did a Halloween Showdown between mama and I. Spoiler alert, she wins again.VideoCapture_20261024-165816.webp20261024_163055.webp

Building a free to use target generator. It allows you to create your own target by selecting the number of rings, ring size, which rings are blackened, whether or not there will be crosshairs etc. and it will generate the target and allow you to either print it or download the file. It also has a library of preset targets that are dimensioned to international and U.S. shooting standards. I’ve included 10m, benchrest, U.S. and European field target, .22LR benchrest, sight-in and plinking targets. It will also allow you to upload an image or use a silhouette and make a target out of it. It’s part of a bigger project that I’m working on and is not ready for prime time yet. The bigger project was motivated by the fact that I believe “GunTube” as it’s called is going away. That’s an interesting story in and of itself. When you see why YouTube recently changed its policy on weapon related videos, it becomes obvious where this is going.
View attachment 23778The target generator came about when I was looking for a 10m air rifle target for @wolfmangreg challenge. Here is an example of a 10m air rifle practice target. I’ve blacked out the bottom of the target as it has links to the website that Im building,
Try rumble. I've seen a few airgun videos there and they're not anti gun as far as I know.

Just disgusted with the "spray on" black soft touch stuff that one of my HW110s came with and finally worked up the gumption to spend fifty dollars on Krylon. This will get it through squirrel season. It was "sticky" and I hated carrying it because of that. Great rifle otherwise.
