Took a couple of my Pinty Knightfalls to the range, I have four.
Going to sell two of them, so trying figure which ones to keep. Pretty sure I'm going to fit one with a Lother Walther barrel.

You did not make a mistake, bud. He is building arguably the best design on the market. Truth be known, I THOUGHT I had beaten his design. I actually had a design which beat it... one time. It can be beaten but beating it every time is no easy task. His work is quite good. This improvement in the evaluator may give me a shot at that.

I’m not sure which intrigues me more, more your pellet rolling table or the fact that your QRPing with an HW8.

That's a very comfortable looking and scenic home range you have there..., when it's not underwater!

I sometimes take for granted having a home range to easily enjoy the airgun hobby. I can't imagine having to jump in the car/truck to get some place to shoot like many airgun folks have to do.

I sure agree with you. If it wasn’t for my wife wanting to live in the country 44 years ago I’d have never had the inspiration to do air gunning. It’s provided me with a wonderful hobby and I love my little home range. My special “go to” place.

Pinty customer disservice has many problems. I posted weeks ago about my misfortune, dealing with these people. Attempting communication with Chinese people half way around the world who don't speak or understand English and have very little airgun knowledge is frustrating and unacceptable. Pinty also increased prices across their product line. I know from personal experience buying from them currently is a crap shoot. Typical Chinese QC issues and poor customer service has kept me from doing business with them.

I was shooting slugs this morning from my Vectis and my .22 Condor. The Condor did good at 30 yards and just okay at 50 yards. Probably my fault but now I feel like I have found a slug I can work with and the wind did start to blow pretty good. Still trying to fine tune it and get the scope adjusted. Be glad when it cools down so I can spend more time to try to get things sorted out.

Well I had enough time to remove the broken butt stock on my avenge x by grinding it off, as it would not come off the buffer tube. Man did that feel kind a good. Would have been nice to keep but the pin wouldn't move correctly and wasn't coming out to slide off the buffer tube. Installed the JTS airacuda prs stock in it's place. It's a bit heavy but an upgrade. And at 40$ I'm happy.
The grip is not going to stay, i didn't think it would stick out like that when I ordered it. I chopped off the beaver tail so it's mine now.
Feels much larger than the bullpups or shorter rifles I have. Even the standard stock Liberty feels much more stream line. I'll shoot it and see this weekend!

Billm's recent start of a new online target competition inspired me. Didn't inspire me to compete, but rather it got me thinking about how I might improve my own target practice in a more structured way that could improve my shooting precision. By "precision", I mean improving my own shooting skill and also improve the tuning, or accuracy of my rifle(s).

Going forward, instead of just shooting daily groups, I'll shoot a target that is more in line with tracking progress, or regress with my personal shooting process. The goal is to track my targets and hopefully see an average improvement in score over time.

My rules:

1 - 20-shots for score. Unlimited 'sighters'. Target circle line must be completely broken to score. An 'X' must be a shot completely inside the unbroken circle.

2- Scoring is simple. 1-point for a hit, 0-points for a miss. Max score is 20. Max 'X' is 20.

3- Distance is 50-yds.

4- Target circle is .300".

What I learned from shooting this first target in my new shooting exercise:

1- Failing to respect even the slightest movement of the wind flags results in a wide miss.

2- Failing to properly gauge and adjust for the wind, or missing the wind shift results in a miss.

3- There is no beating the rifle's inherent inaccuracy. What I mean is that all rifles only achieve a certain level of accuracy and regardless how well the shot may have been executed..., a miss can still result. Work toward making the rifle more accurate.

So here is my first of many new practice targets. While I enjoy shooting groups and will continue to shoot groups, this target format will be used to track any progress (or regress) I achieve in my own shooting, or accuracy improvement of a given rifle.

Add some wind flags to your practice and improve farther and improve your wind reading! Simple surveyors tape on a pole or rod is a cheap good start

That's great advice for anyone shooting targets from a bench.

I have two vanes/flags on my 50yd home range. Failing to ALWAYS keep an eye on the wind indicators is the same as not having them there at all. When the wind is very minor it's easy for me to disregard them and just shoot. When I do that I am often reminded with a shot that doesn't go where I expected it would.

Took one of my Pinty Knightfall MKII's apart.
Cleaned up a bad chamber mouth, cleaned the bore, lapped the crown.
Lubed everything up and topped it with an
Athlon Talos 3-12x40 set in CV Life high rings.

I've got a good bit of study to do before i shoot it the first time. Never had a PCP before and just don't want to mess anything up.
