What'cha doing air gun related today?

I have been trying to rein myself in on this airgun trip. “I don’t need anything bigger, better”, I tell myself. Yet, here I am in pursuit of a heavy hitting .22. While on the search, stumble across this on the website of a local store. Thank goodness they are open by appointment only, otherwise I would have been in trouble.

That's pretty awesome dude! Nice find 👌

I've been busy with auctions and airgun business in general lately. Here's a jewel I picked up for a song. It's in near mint condition, holds CO2 pressure without leaking, been leaking testing it for over a week now, and functions correctly.

I remember talking to the armorer about airguns while returning my M-4 after airbase security duty that day. He started to tell me about how the USAF bought a bunch of the Crosman 160s and that he had one in back. He asked if I wanted to see it? Of Course I wanted to see it! I think I was 19 years old and even then a bonafide airgun nut! I immediately wanted to shoot it, but unfortunately it was not allowed out of the Armory without at least my lieutenant's permission, but I carried full auto M-4s and M203s daily! Go figure, lol! It was considered very sleek and modern back then, every boy's airgun dream, if you actually saw it. The one in the Armory was the only one I saw until I bought this one. Sometimes you get lucky.

The Crosman Model 160 Pellgun .22 caliber/ M167 .177 cal. dual CO2 cartridge rifles introduced in 1955 were perhaps the most famous of all the CO2 rifles made by Crosman in what has been called the Golden Age of CO2 rifles. The M-160 was used by our Military, USAF being one branch, as a training aid in marksmanship etc. they were provided with sling swivels, S331 peep sights (made by Mossberg) and a military type sling, the NRA also used the M-160 in some of their training programs. The CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) also had a number of these rifles as training aids in their programs.

Well when my original thumper arrived and wouldnt hold air, I bought a avengerBP2 and realized how heavy it was at my age
my replacement striker came in and it was all I was shooting
I got the BP2 out today and put my Hawke AirMax EV 4x12x50 AO and got it on paper, got out the cheap (but it works) Chrony-just wanted to see how fast some of the pellets were going, and to get used to chrony and the gun

good day shooting

Installed a 20cc plenum on the Nova Liberty.177. shot on the chrono a bit, not enough time to adjust it. I am going to chrono this weekend with adjustments. Shot jsb monster 16.2 at 860, jsb 13.43 at 910, forgot what I have the regulator set at. I'll remove the stock on this and the .22 liberty this weekend and see what I come up with. The .22 has a wood stock so I'll have to drill out for the larger plenum. The .177 is plastic and that will be easy to modify.

Shot my new pinty buster and it underperformed. Shooting 17-18 ft lb. I'll clean the barrel this weekend and check accuracy. Funny Pinty claim 100cc air tube and it is the same size air tube as the Notos, 66cc.

Taking a short trip to Arkansas next week and Ill have some time to shoot with some kids. Limited space, so having pistols is nice.

Nice. The ones I had in the early 80s when working for Mac1 won me quite a few matches before the PCP and the hw-80s started coming in and switching over to it the the Daystate, Saxby and Palmer. They shot hot in the 100+ degree days when modified

have you ever noticed how-no matter how good something is if it doesnt feel right you just will never shoot it.
So today the avenger BP2 which felt bulky and heavy, I traded for a night vision scope
Just didnt want a sleeper in the closet, figured i could have more fun with the N/V and my son can put it on his rifle(powder burner) to go hog hunting
he isnt into pcp YET
I will use it for pesting on my striker- yep I needed something a little lighter
Enjoy the day

I get what you're sayin'. My Uragan 2 700 is a quality built rifle (poorly designed valve) and it's my least favorite to shoot. It's the only bullpup I have ever owned and I just don't like how the whole rifle feels and functions.

I removed the .20 barrel from the EscapeSS and cleaned and installed the .22 barrel. I put the big 3600psi tank on the EscapedSS and the small tank on the Condor frame to redistribute the weight some and to give more shots to the SS. Now if it was not so darn hot outside. I am not that found of Florida anytime, but I really dislike the summers.

Shot snowpeak max 1 .25, .177 Nova Liberty, Umarex Notos pistol, sk-19 during breaks putting up gutters and filling dirt around the building at my dad's country property. 25-35 yards out. I love shooting the Max 1, buttery smooth side lever, most accurate gun I have. Just hitting a metal target and a broke stanley cup. Pretty windy, 15 mph or so. Sk-19 needs gone through, barrel cleaning and see why the adjustment port doesn't seem to work. It's shooting 45 and 50.5 aea pellets 1000 plus. I've triple checked the direction to turn the power port down and I don't seem to go up or down. Just stays in the 1000-1080 fps range. It was fun for the brief time I got to shoot.
How did you win the Stanley cup? LOL!

Fired three rifles this morning. Falcon FN19 .22 (single shot), Reximex Daystar .22 and Barra 250z .22.

Wind was blowing before sunrise and was forecast for double digits all morning! My two wind flags/vanes were switching around so fast I thought they were going to take flight!

I fired 30-shots through each rifle and all at 38yds. I tried my best to shoot all 90-shots with an appropriate wind hold. Probably got it right about 80% of the shots but the wind switch got me quite a few times. I'm sure you all know what I am saying. Just when ya think the flags are steady and matching you take your eye to the scope and send the shot, The shot does not land where it should have and you look back up at the flags to see they switched hard the other direction! 😡

I like shooting gusty conditions once in a while as it helps keep me in practice for wind holds when out hunting. 😎

No motocross on TV today (off week) so I spent time shooting instead. A rather enjoyable tradeoff.

If I waited for it to be not windy I'd shoot like twice a year! Wind, sometimes rain, just adds to the skillset.

I feel fortunate that where I live you can count on no wind first thing early morning the majority of days year around. If I can get myself up and going right after Sunrise I can get shooting sessions where the wind is not a factor.

I like to make triple certain my hunting rifle's zero is dead perfect at my 'zero distance'. I mean, if your rifle's zero is not exact, then all your elevation and wind holds, or dial-ups are not going to be correct. The only way I can be sure I am adjusting for a perfect zero is to shoot in no wind conditions.

The day before I go out on a hunt I always get on the bench super early and make certain my rifle's zero is spot-on! I'm kinds anal about certain things and my rifle's zero is one of them! :ROFLMAO:
