What'cha doing air gun related today?

I removed the barrel and air cylinder from my Air Arms S200. I cleaned the barrel then applied Hornady One Shot to the exterior surfaces for rust protection. I carried a Colt 1911 CCO for years IWB in Florida. The One Shot is the best and longest lasting rust protection I have used of many products.

I installed an Eagle Vision harmonic barrel tuner to try out on the S200 also.

I've got the FX barrel tuner and it works well.

Ran another 91 pellets through the P-Rifle. I looked at my tin of 18.1gr JTS Dead Center pellets at the end and somehow there are only 44 left... I must investigate where they are flying off too. 🤔😂
Are your groups getting any tighter? I still haven't bought one yet as none of the reviewers are showing any excellent groups yet. My pellets just keep disappearing too! Lol

They are not, but in fairness all of the groups are good for me. I think my best was around 3/4" at 25 yards. The scope I bought also doesn't have parallax adjustment, so I think it is part of my problem. I put new groups up on my pinty thread. I will have to find a different pellet to play with, and different optic, and see if the change in optics helps.

Sounds good and i appreciate your input!

Amazon came through with the extended quick connect fill adapter and so after replacing my headlight and thermostat housing I got back to the Ghost. It arrived filled to approximately 150 bar. I thought my little compressor was struggling, as it couldn’t get past about 230 bar. When I disconnected the fill hose, I could hear hissing from the bottle. It slowly discharged back to 150 bar and stopped. I emailed AOA for any advice. While I waited, I removed the bottle and reattached it. Filled it up to 250 bar and let it sit for a little while, it seemed to lose about 20 bar. I slapped the new un-zeroed NV/thermal scope on top and took it outside. Everything I’ve read and watched stated the scope would not zero without shimming on the Ghost. I shot at the 24”x24” steel plate placed at 25yds using JSB .25 34.95 King Heavies. They all landed on steel within 3” of the aim point. I was impressed lol. I rolled the target stand back to a random distance that turned out to be 78m. I launched 10 JSB Knock Out 33.49gr slugs and expected to miss the plate. To my surprise the POI only shifted a couple of inches at almost 3x the range. I didn’t have a target up, I just wanted to play and the painted plate steel did the job. I really think I am going to like the Ghost. I definitely liked the thwack of the .25 on steel. I’m not totally convinced about the Zulus yet. Last 10 shots were the slugs. The rifle is set to whatever AOA set it to.

Keeping with my new schedule, I celebrated Lever Action Friday (LAF) by shooting my 3 non-red Ryder lever actions. Daisy Model 1998, Daisy Model 111B, and Marlin Lever Action. Sighted them all in for 7 yards, and then practiced. Based on last group for each, Pinky (Model 1998) wins this round. Nice relaxing time in the garage while the rains poured from the heavens.20250411_140820.webp

I think I might have clipped the one on the right, left is DED
My battery was 2% left. It auto shutoff while I was getting in position, I flicked it on once in position and made a quick shot. 2nd battery in now and that one is charging.

Tested the new maple mags and did some quick zero checks on both my pcps. This is why the S510 is my go-to pester! 3 shots @40Y with 18.13gr for a quick verify. Then I tossed in the maple mag and dumped 12 rounds into the gold dot. Wind was coming straight at me off and on, and was pushing em left I do believe. The pellets definitely seat in smoother with the plastic mags vs the oem metal ones.

Ghost is out of hibernation😎! While shooting, the reg gauge went back down from 175 bar to 165 bar (tank was still above 200!) so something is wonky with it.... Can't wait to get the huma gauges on er! First shots taken in months and the first group was so bad, I don't think it qualifies as a group (and it wasn't me or the wind) 🤕. 2 clicks down on the power wheel and changed my hold and BOOM, accurate again! My most unpredictable airgun. Tried the JSB lights again, and on minimum it was actually decent. All groups were aimed at the blue dots @ 50Y, with Mrds. The 5 on paper (between fingers) was the opener....pretty bad. Definitely doesn't suffer from low first shots at least😆
It seems to love the Maple custom mags too👍
