What'cha doing air gun related today?

They are odd times but they do travel a lot so that may be the times they reach that location. What calls are you using and how? I will sometimes use a female long howl and run it for maybe 1 min just to see if I get a call back if I do play a rabbit in destress and may be another long howl and watch your sent and direction of the wind.
Yeah so last month the urban dogs were coming in super hot for ICO-“broken heart” which is a 90 second long sad lone female howl. They also liked the baby cottontail sound… the sage dogs were coming in hot for woodpecker sounds. I’ve tried all those again plus some Tony Tebbe sounds. “Blackjack” and “cottonteen” I’ve also tried “imperfect howls” “teen spirit” “got milk” and “den raid.” Not even getting a booger bark back to challenge barks or coyote fights.

lol it’s not the sounds it’s me. I certainly give it hell but success and I are so unacquainted that one could argue that success is my arch nemesis 😂😂…. I’m kidding but not really. Merde alors

Installed a green dot on my hatsan 125 and some what zeroed it . It's the first one I've ever tried and I really like it. I originally bought it to mount on my Sheridan but I've been a little reluctant to spend the $70 for a scope mount. I know, I'm a cheap skate.😏 I haven't had any pet sitting jobs for quite a while and my funds for airguns is getting low.😡

Did some relaxing backyard plinking with 397 offhand at 20 yards, including shooting a tin can to see if it penetrates. Just 3 pumps, probably 40 shots total. Therapy for first warranty mailing. End of this month marks 4 years of airguns for me...

I shipped the spring kit AOA sent me in error. Now I just need to get off my rump and install the right spring kit. I'm going to have to modify my spring compressor to accommodate the extra long spring that the kit contains. I built the spring compressor to work on my Diana 48 but my hatsan 135 is way longer.

Well I got off my rump and took the 135 apart. Checked to see how tight the tail plug would fit and found out hatsan sent me a tail plug for a 125 which is just a little smaller in diameter than the 135.🤬🤬🤬 I'm beginning to think something doesn't want me to convert it to steel spring. AOA sent me the wrong spring kit which has been solved but now this!! I emailed hatsan so we'll see what they'll do to fix the problem.

Hope you get it all sorted.

Took the P-Rifle out for some late Halloween Tiny Target shooting. I wrapped buckeyes in toilet paper and hung them from 10-30 yards. Also actually dialed the Pinty scope in better than rough sighted so that I can hit what I shoot at even when it's small. Then some super slow motion video of shooting buckeyes, acorns, and pinecones. About 70-80 shots before I stopped to go fill her up and end for the day.
Nice shooting session PapaT! Going to be snowing here in Missouri on Sunday and Monday. It was 65 degrees today!

70 today, low 60s tomorrow. It's the 16+ mph winds that make anything other than plinking unrealistic right now. Snow is pretty rare here, thing I miss most during winter. Apparently I am alone in my family with that sentiment.

I polished the barrel of my new low price rifle. I completely removed the barrel and all o rings. I pushed some pellets to get a feel, and felt rough.
Autosol
J-B Compound
J-B Bore Bright
Pushed pellets and feels smooth now.
Loading pellets feels a lot nicer.
I shot 5 round groups at 10m, this was more to season the barrel.

I was using one of these. Good for casual shooting, terrible for precision 😂

Attempted my pumpkin carve... got a good lesson in why one shouldn't wait until the last moment. I haven't decided if I will still enter it, find a way to fix it, or give up on this year. 🤔

Verified my OmniStorm reports delivered to PA... now the wait game for repair and return to me.
please do enter!!!!
its should be more about the fun although you want to win just make a entry you never know whats the next guys ( or gals ) art.
and if you dont win there always next year.
and it sneaks up on us fast.

It wasn't the win I cared about. There isn't even a semblance of the planned design due to equipment failures. Today just wasn't Papa's day. 🤷

I was going to use one of my kids pumpkins after Halloween, he really liked them.
Turns out our Florida temperature does a number on them, we had to through them away after 3 days outside 😂
Rot mold and flies.
Much to my 14 year old's annoyance, I used one of my kids pumpkins for the challenge. Part of the delay for me getting started.

Months ago, I modified the ,308 Texan (467 fpe) but I then dialed it back for acracy and i don't need to over stress any parts for safety reasons. Now it was the AEA Challenger 357 big bore turn lol, in the past i polished the barrel and worked on the trigger. This time it was to open up the air ways. The pcp in stock form is 275-290 fpe and at 3000 psi with 150gr, any higher it starts valve lock but, not so after opening up the lungs i gained 100 psi, the reason why you see mixed numbers was because i was testing psi, when valve lock was happening and everything re setting. Sometimes thing don't settle until after 20 shots. testing was done tethered. later that day i was getting these numbers, I will be doing more testing at a later date and keep in mind the temp, can't wait to see the fpe with 214gr.
