What did you buy/receive today?

I bought my sixth Vector Veyron 4-16 SFP scope from Amazon. It listed for $160 with a discount coupon bring it down to $144 including sales tax. At this price, I discovered they were factory refurbs or customer returns. I did find one with defective optics and Amazon replaced it. I think this model has been discontinued because they announced a Gen 2 version that improves the mushy turrets and other minor things. I'm using them on my springers and so far, so good. Optics are quite good and I like the reticle.

OK. . . Now I'm officially irritated with Airguns of Arizona for the first time. Please tell me if I should express my ire to them: when I recieved my (very expensive) new HW 50s, 75th Anniversary model rifle in blue laminate, I found that the small front sight inserts were missing. I knew that they were usually found in a small envelope tied to the trigger guard with string. These were missing, I thoroughly checked the packing materials and the shipping boxes, but to no avail, they were simply missing. I gave a call to Airguns of Arizona and inquired. I was told that they should have been included from the factory and that they would ship the small package right out. I have now received them, and sure enough there was no charge for the inserts. HOWEVER . . . I have been billed on my credit card for a shipping charge of $52.26! This shipping charge for this small envelope is unacceptable! This could have easily been mailed in a standard envelope for $.79. This Special 75th Anniversary HW50s cost me $699.00 dollars, but I really want this rifle showpiece, so I paid this inflated cost. A of A are Weihrauch specialists, and I believe that their shipping specialists should have picked-up on this missing piece. I have always appreciated Airguns of Arizona, but this puts a thorn in my appreciation of them. They will be hearing from me unless you guys feel I should just be quiet an eat this exorbitant shipping cost. Let me know! Orv.

I would just call and talk to Darrin

Yesterday's 2 scopes, plus third one showed up today. Looking forward to checking out these scopes, 2 of which are ffp (a first for me). And the LPVO and 6-24x50 both came with bubble levels (also a first for me). But I appreciate the choice of flip covers over bikini style.

Also, my 22 cal barrel swap kit for the Ascent. Now I just need to actually get my Ascent, so I can enjoy it. So much box for so little item.20260507_183632.webp20260507_224046.webp20260507_223611.webp20260507_223101.webp20260507_222847.webp

It's 18cc but Duy isn't making them anymore. At least I don't think he is.

I have all of the mods Steven talks about except for the hammer weight.

Oh home made hammer weight is pretty easy to make. I bought a 3/8 brass rod 12" long on Amazon for 12$. A drill and a flat file w a file on the narrow side. Took me about an 30 min to an hour to file it down to fit. The base needs to be as wide as the hammer spring and inner portion inside the spring. I had to cut and smooth the end to get it to cock. I think I'll end up making 5 or 6 hammer weights out of the 1' stick. Arms might be sore the next day ha! And AlienAirguns on Facebook, Wayne he will make plenums. I haven't yet but I've purchased some springs for the liberty from him. I'm sure does weights I just like to tinker

OK . . . I have spoken to Logan at Airguns of Arizona and resolved the issue of the shipping charge. There will now be no charge for the shipping of the missing sight inserts for my new HW 5Os. All it took was a quick phone call to resolve the issue. Thank you Airguns of Arizona. Orv.

I was wondering what happened with that.
They have always done me right, so I was a little scared when I saw your first post.

I didn't want the hammer weight. I've got a tungsten carbide chunk I cut from a drill bit.
