Is it possible to put an appropriate size o-ring between the ball bearing and the sealing surface? My GX-2 uses something similar for the release valve.
Maybe, worth a try if I can find an o-ring small enough. Thanks

Edit

I ran it past gpt.

Short answer: no — that will not work, and it can create new problems.

On the original Edgun Leshiy, the degas system is a ball-to-conical-seat metal seal. The geometry depends on:
  • A spherical ball
  • A machined cone
  • Direct metal contact
  • High localized contact pressure
An O-ring cannot function in that geometry.

The saga continues, received my jsb heavy .20 cal pellets that were missing from previous order and opened my box stated to have 2 tins of Apolo 25gr .25 cal pellets, Ascent 177 caliber change kit, and Ascent 22 caliber change kit. No 22 cal kit, but was surprised to find 177 kit actually there. Now the wait for the actual rifle, and make sure I get my 22 kit.

Well, my very own Wamo Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 showed up today. If it shoots anything like the one McNasty had, that he said shot as good as his HW95/R9, I will be happy. Regardless, it will let me know if I want to get into the fancier brake barrels or if I will just keep playing with my PCPs. I was surprised that Weihrauch only gives a 1-year warranty on their guns that cost twice as much as this and this Wamo has a 5-year warranty. This isn't very pretty but neither are my Airforce guns and they shoot very well.

Okay thank you, I see that under the warranty info at AOA. Well, I hope this will let me know if I want to go ahead and get a HW95 Luxus in .20 or just take a pass on them. I'm hoping I can shoot it well with iron sights to keep the weight down and for close range varmints. I also want to see if the cocking effort would bother me or not.

Well, it has been so windy for the last couple of months that it has been hard to shoot, even my .25s are getting knocked around pretty good so I got something bigger. Hope it won't be to awful loud. I ordered a M357 Bulldog, a DFL Ronin, and some JSB 81 grain pellets. Should buck the wind a bit better and now I have an excuse to get some Lee slug molds. HW50 will be on hold for a while.

My blue streak and 853 came in, but I am trying to behave and not touch until my birthday. I am making my oldest child perform receipt inspection for me.

Also package from PA that is supposed to be pellets and barrel swap kits for the Ascent (I haven't opened it yet either). A bit of cart before the horse, but I'm ready for the horse!View attachment 19567
The barrel swap kit will be of interest to me, if it's the same avenger/Liberty/Aspen/freedom barrel. The interesting part after that is (if it's the same barrel) is the pellet probe. If I can modify the Liberty's for this. I'm half tempted to get the kit knowing I'll probably purchase the Ascent and sell my 1st gen PCP pumpers.

I have the 177 barrel kit, 22 is on backorder with mid-march anticipated in stock date, and rifle anticipated in early may.
