What did you buy/receive today?

Well, some will think I am crazy, but I bought a Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 in .22. I am pretty sure McNasty had one as a backup to his R9 and he said it was very accurate. I watched 2 videos of it shooting very well out too 40 yards with Crossman premiers. It has a 32-pound cocking effort, weights 6.6 pound without scope, makes 21FPE, has nice fiber optic sights and a 5-year warranty. So, I think it will work well for me when I just want to grab the gun and do a little plinking for a half hour or so and don't want to take the time to drag out all of my gear. Yes, it is all plastic and so I will not have to worry about marring the stock or breaking the cheap scope that comes with it. It's really all I need.
Yeah he called it the Whamo-Gamo lol.

Got out a little today with the wife, before this huge rainstorm hits us. Went to the Tupelo flea mkt. The large 3-D print business we always visit had an interesting box on the wall behind the counter, a Crosman 1100 Classic. The owner said he had bought it new 5 years ago, shot it a few times to scare away the big crapping Canadian geese, 2 or 3 times a year, then cleaned, put in 2 pumps of air, and left it alone till they came back. Not a scratch on it, not a spec of rust, nothing. Came with an el- cheapo scope he had never mounted, also in the box, and the huge hulking bottle of my favorite Red Ryder food, all for $40.00! The wife does buy a lotta printed figurines from him, and she is buddy's with his wife, so that might Have had something to do with the cut rate price he offered me. Needless to say, I jumped on it! I haven't even shot.my new 2100 classic yet, but the deal was way to good to pass up I think.

I bought one for the kids, a swarm Evo .22 and since it broke in I like it. Cphp are 700-680 and it's accurate for the 25 yards here. Even threw on a paint job with the kids this winter.

I have heard so many opinions myself, that I just have to give it a go. I often hear opinions about airguns that I know are total bs, or perhaps true, but a simple little fix or mod makes them great shooters, so I always consider the source. If people are tinkerers or experiment and are mechanically competent and like to work on their guns, and solve problems, but say something is junk, I listen. If someone believes that opening their wallet once, should solve any and all problems, and don't want to do any servicing of their guns at all, or even tune it, then I really don't want to hear too much from them, and just discount it anyway. I like all kinds of airguns. I do tend to gravitate towards airguns like my Paradigm, or TalonP, that are simple and tough and reliable, the most, and that is a hunting guns job. However my favorite activity is long range plinking off of my tripod and I don't need, or even want, the same thing for doing that. If a gun is delicate but otherwise is an easily tunable accurate beast, then I can be pretty darn careful with it. I'm keeping an open mind on it. The only thing I'm sure of is that I will be doing some kind of wild distressed paint job on this thing. The more accurate it is, the rougher I'm going to make it look. lol
Your paint work you have posted that I have seen all looks great too. Fine artistry with the spray can.

My blue streak and 853 came in, but I am trying to behave and not touch until my birthday. I am making my oldest child perform receipt inspection for me.

Also package from PA that is supposed to be pellets and barrel swap kits for the Ascent (I haven't opened it yet either). A bit of cart before the horse, but I'm ready for the horse!20260217_195844.webp

I tip my hat to you for your ability to hold back sir.

I would have to at least inspect everything for damages. My worries begin the moment a shipping label is applied.

Who could blame a fella for taking a peek especially after receiving a broken stock rather recently, right?

I tried a bunch of things to get my Leshiy degas to stop leaking to no avail. So I just spent a good few pennies to get a part. It was only available as a complete section.

I take it that you had to order it outside of the US.

The worry is very high, it's why I keep asking her if she's inspected yet. The limits of restraint are quickly approaching.

Let there be no doubt that you have peaked my interest 😉.
There is an aluminum hole, a 3mm ball bearing sits on it with a grub screw holding it in place. They has to be a micro imperfection. So i want to try and polish it. Hopefully it will solve the issue and the ball will seal again

Is it possible to put an appropriate size o-ring between the ball bearing and the sealing surface? My GX-2 uses something similar for the release valve.
