What did you buy/receive today?

Westhunter Gen 2 HD 8-30x56 FFP.
Heard they are as good as my favorite CVLife BearSwift 5-25x56.

Arrived in the middle of our neighborhood post Thanksgiving crab and fondue feed. Which included $275 in 2016 Pinot Noir, $120 in Irish Whiskey, over $100 in Bourbon, Tequila (no clue about price but seriously tasty). So I'll mount it today and retire another old 3-9x44 AO.

Will post a review once I can use it for a while. Ships from US so no tariffs. About the same price as the BearSwift before tariffs.

I have that scope on my budget benchrest build, Beeman Chief II. I got it for about $175. My only complaint is the mushiness of the turrets. Not a huge issue since I’m using it for bench rest.

More plenum experiments in my future.
4500 psi 20cm tube.
But I got them customized with M18X1.5 fittings at both ends rather than a gauge at one end. $76 for two including tariffs.

The have 50 and 40 cm tubes. Tubes themselves are m30x1.5 threads. So the Huben Power regulators won't work. The regulator half on a cricket is m28x1.0.

I have a bunch of M18-1.5 male to male fittings I had custom made so I can adapt the tube to a u-valve. They have a wide shoulder to seat orings.

I use 3 Westhunter scopes on some of my rifles. They are inexpensive and work great!

I started out with cheap 3-9x40 CVLife.
Then some cheap 5-25x50 AO scopes.
Found $65 6-24x60 scopes that turned out to be knockoff Leupold MK4.

Finally started using FFP a couple years ago.
Several Spina, a Firewolf, T-Eagle
Spina and Firewolf are nice scopes.
The T-Eagle is not.

Read a review of a new line of scopes from CVLife. BearPower, BearSwift and BearMight. 5-25x50 and 5-25x56.
So i bought the BearSwift 5-25x56 from AliExpress for $108. Got it, mounted and sighted and ordered 4 more. The optics were incredible, the turrets tight and turns out very durable when my brother knocked my Boss off his porch. Scope was fine after about a 6 foot drop to cement. Bought a BearMight with ED glass. Could not really see much if any improvement. Tariffs raised the BearSwift to $250+ so I started looking for lower cost options.Recently bought the 5-25x50 BearPower. As good as the BearSwift. But it was $199 now with Tariffs.

Have heard good things about the Westhunter HD Gen 2 scopes. Ordered the 8-32x56. $100 or more less than the BearSwift. As long as tariffs keep the BearSwift over $250 Westhunters or Spina will be getting my money. Spina on Alibaba offered to pay the tariffs.

Spina also just replaced a 2+ year old scope that no longer adjusted in windage. I paid shipping of $22.

That's great customer service from Spina! I bought one CV Life Bear Power scope and the optics were a hair out of focus around the outer edges of the scope no matter how it was adjusted which was unacceptable so I returned it for a refund which was easy since I bought it off Amazon. I might try one again in the future as I think i might have just got a lemon.

Only have 1 Bearpower. Have not used it that much but the glass seems the same as the BearSwift. I'll find it and verify.

I deal with Spina through AliBaba, "Alice Spina" takes very good care of me.

Before tariffs I bought my scopes off Alibaba. Have not "needed" many since tariffs so AliExpress and Amazon have sold a couple to me.

I just checked my BearPower and it looks fine. Not sure it is as crisp as the BearSwift but it looks good. I give it a nod over the Westhunter.

Forgot I have a CVLife EagleBlaze 5-25x50. ED glass like the BearMight but I'm guessing my old eyes just can't see the difference between it and the BearSwift non-ED glass.

I received my Pard DS35-70 night vision scope today. I'm going to Mount it first on my FX Dreamline Tactical 25 cal with 600mm barrel and Donnyfl Yokozuna. The weather is not cooperating with the snow, ice, and winds so I'll just set it up and tune it all in the house and wish for better days!
