I got my ghost plus .22 today, This thing is a beast, I mounted the scope Hawke 6-24x56 with med. rings but i have to cock my head in an uncomfortable position to view. I then put the vortex on it that was on the Hatsan with high rings and it was a better view. Tomorrow i will try high rings on the Hawke.

It will probably first go on a 2240 carbine. I also want to try and find the best wadcutter for my M853, so it will probably make an appearance on that for pellet testing.

I found in my years of shooting i never really changed the magnification on the variable scopes. I like the simplicity. There is a little better light transmission. Usually lighter also.
When I got back into AG’s all I used was a Hawke Vantange 4x32AO. It was all I really needed. I took it off my CMP Sporter Class 10/22. It’s still a favorite scope of mine.
I went down the rabbit hole and bought
-Arken 6-24 ffp
-Vortex Diamondback SFP?
-Athlon Midas Tac 6-24 FFP
-Hawke Airmax 3-12 SFP
-Vector Veyron 3-12 FFP

I only own the Airmax and Veyron currently, and neither one is mounted to a rifle. I basically put them on rifles i loan out.

I absolutely love my Airmax! (On the TX to handle the twanging) How'd you like the Midas Tac? Genuinely wanting that scope for the S510 but in 4x16. I have to admit my Hawke 3x9 Vantage could really just be a fixed 9. I change it when I'm messing around in the house, or blasting thieving birds outta the cherry trees short range but otherwise... 9x it stays! How was the Vortex? They're often on Sale at Basspro but....

The komplete I had ordered a month ago arrived while I was away - on vacation.I had a neighbor get the gun and lock it in my garage. I am antsy to get home. Also Got an Axeon 4-16x44 scope for it. Neighbor that locked up the parcel says it will cost me, I will have to shoot some chipmunks that have been chewing on her house, sounds like a great deal! Would have done it anyway. Jeff

Why thank you @FL22, now I have someone to blame when my wife asks why I made another order! I'm still of the opinion that your a horrible person Although, the JSB grands are in stock finally at AGS.....hmmm. And yeah it's wise to have a pump reseal kit so when it ever happens, 15 min strip, lube n reseal and your rocking! My first pump leak left me sunk for 2 weeks S510 was left on pesting duties only for the time being.

I didn’t like shooting my Atomic from my front bags or my front rest. I tried a China atlas bipod I have and I liked how it shot with it. But it’s not a good bipod for stability , just cheaply made.
I bought a Caldwell XLR without pan to try out. The consensus is it’s a good budget bipod. It’s only to do bench tests with on the Atomic, so I don’t need a 400 dollar bipod. 99% of it’s life the Atomic won’t have it attached. I wish I bought one when they were about $25, but $40 isn’t bad.

Have shot and tested my new Komplete-.22, groups are half inch at 15 yds on Gamo Hunter 15.43 g dome pellet. next, I will be trying various pellets for best manufacturer and weight . Don’t have a chrono so the vel. is unknown. It’s a fun gun! After 50 shots of groups plinked till 70 shots and still placing shots with gradual drop, then degassed and another N2 tank. Later Jeff

I’m a few days late, but I made another “impulse” purchase that came in on Monday: an EDgun Lelya 2.0 in .22!

I know, I know, I’ve been on the lookout for a BRK Sniper XR Magnum, but I’ve been eyeing an EDgun for a few years since I love how they look. I was talking with @Luis Leon about the Sniper over on AGN, and he mentioned that resident enabler @PasadenaMike had some experience with the Lelya so I dropped him a line. Lo and behold, someone posted Mike’s old Lelya for sale while we were exchanging PMs and he sent me the link, so I caved. I knew I’d have one eventually, just didn’t know it would be now hahaha. The play fund I’d set aside from selling PBs has shrunk considerably, there are just too many good airguns out there!

The resident enabler @PasadenaMike sent me the Utah airgun sale ad for an Airforce Escape SS .25 that he knew I wanted but I had already spent all of my allowance that I normally use for my hobbies but my wife said not to worry about it and take advantage of the sale so I went ahead and bought one.
