What did you buy/receive today?

I’m a day late, but I got my first Taipan yesterday, a Mk1 Vet Long in .25. Much lighter than I thought it would be, and honestly not all that long. Maybe long for a bullpup, but not in comparison to a traditional rifle. It was an impulse purchase, but I’ve heard so many glowing reviews of them and this one was priced pretty well so I pounced. Can’t wait to get a scope mounted up so I can take it out for a test drive!
You’ll love that rifle. I have to tell myself every time I see a Vet 1 standard 25 come available that I don’t have a use 😂
Eventually I’ll buy one.

I believe I will, yes. :D

When I say it was an “impulse,” that’s only partly true. Based on the last few months of research, I knew I wanted one eventually. I thought I’d wind up with a Brocock Sniper Magnum in .22 first, but this thing popped up at a price I couldn’t ignore. Add to that the fact that I also knew I could make use of a .25 at work (I manage a rural airport with lots of birds and small varmints that need “managing”), and it felt like a no-brainer. I could use a .22LR all day long if I wanted, but this was a good excuse to add another air rifle to the safe and I feel a little better about using a pellet rifle wherever I can. It may be a smaller airport in a smaller, rural town, but there are still people, airplanes, and a few homes within half a mile, so the added buffer and lessened report will go a long way to my being able to control pests without having to worry about noise complaints and ricochets, etc.

At least that’s what I’m telling myself to justify the purchase… :ROFLMAO:

Great idea, better safe than sorry!
I had range equipment in one similar but smaller and I packed it in the truck of my work car with other bags and gun cases. Well it settled in just right against a soft case. I pull it out and my ear pro and staple gun fell out…. Oh and a munch of stapes….
So the latches aren’t super positive clicking in, but I find for the price and average use, they are great. They help organize my shed which I like a lot.

The price is right for sure. I need one just for 12 gauge shotgun shells. If I like the quality, I'll get a couple more!

Got a bunch more paper targets for stock and some filters for the ol hand pump. I think I can stop with the paper targets now🤔....just realized I'm sitting on about 650-700! At my rate that's a decades worth or so of paper punching.

I got my ghost plus .22 today, This thing is a beast, I mounted the scope Hawke 6-24x56 with med. rings but i have to cock my head in an uncomfortable position to view. I then put the vortex on it that was on the Hatsan with high rings and it was a better view. Tomorrow i will try high rings on the Hawke.

Just looking at your sheet?!?! Is that for your rifle then? Seems to be specs for a .25 cal. Anyways....Enjoy!! Absolutely love my Ghost 👻.

I hope it's .22. That sheet came with the rifle. I ran some of the patch worm patches through it and there was a lot of stuff on the patches, it came clean after 9 patches. I tried a few rounds after cleaning JSB 18.39 with out the moderator it is not back yard friendly. the mod should be here tuesday.
