What’s your latest airgun purchase?

Got my Mystery Boxes! A nice KYL spinner (I’m insanely excited about it, I’ve wanted one for years) 1 tin of Norma Gold Trophy Pellets, 1 tin of Air Arms Diabolo field pellets, some Firebird targets, another backpack, and one of the new Black Bunker BM8s in .22! I’m not crazy about springers typically, but this one is so unique, I dig it! I think I’ll be trying my luck again! So much fun. Also, side note, I realized I had the dust caps on backwards after I took the picture so, my bad.

After seeing what you got and what others also got in their mystery boxes I am going to have to eat my words from earlier post. This mystery box appears to have delivered pretty well. Seen some people getting RAWs in their boxes.

I won’t hold it against you! lol. Like I said, for me, it was the fun in getting something completely unknown that I would likely never purchase otherwise. I typically don’t even give springers a second glance (except AAs), but this one is pretty cool. I’m looking forward to shooting it more when weather clears. Same with the Firebirds. I’d probably never buy any. But I’m looking forward to trying them! Maybe I become hooked.

I just received a beeman P3 in the "Mystery Box" I bought on airgun depot. I have a P1 as well as a air venturi v10 which is very similar to the P3 as it is a SSP powerplant. My first impression of the P3 is suprisingly great. The P3 definitely has more power than the V10, and I think it is around the same power as the P1, just without the recoil that the P1 has. The trigger is excellent, the accuracy so far is actually pretty phenomenal. I am impressed! I never even considered getting a P3 before, I really didn't even know about them until it showed up last friday in the mystery box. I am definitely going to have some fun with my new P3!

I also have to say I really love these mystery boxes. I bought an archery one from Pyramyd last year and initially I was a little bummed with what I ended up getting, but it turns out I ended up needing what I got. This one from AGD rocked, aside from the P3, I got a resettable target from Sig, a really nice voodoo tactical backpack and 3 tins of pellets. Its fun, the anticipation of the box arrival and getting to see what I ended up with reminds me of christmas as a kid! Maybe AOA or Utah Airguns could do some mystery box sales too??? Great way to move some of those dust collectors out of inventory and have some fun in the process.

My latest is a Gauntlet 30 the G2 version. Bought second hand and thought I got a deal! But low and behold it won't shoot! i BELIEVE THE POP-off valve isn't getting struck hard enough? Gun looks brand new, even had the tag hanging from the trigger guard. Oh well, I'll dig into it tomorrow. It holds air really good. just doesn't transfer it? lol Also bought pellets and slugs in 30, 25, and 22 spent almost as much for them as I did the G30! I have got to get to bed, I almost gave myself a knot bouncing my forehead off my keyboard! lol

Thus gun interests me alot....keep us in the loop sir!

Bench shooting is about to get (a little) more serious! I'll give you guys my thoughts on it after using it a bit, seems sturdy though! And got a bunch more food for the Ghost. That's my old .177 Slav on top....with the warmer weather she's flinging the 7.9crosmans anywhere from 570 to 640 fps lol. Still needs to settle down a bit from its rebuild! Those .22 Hades are only 150 in a tin!?!? That will make these my most expensive pellets I have ever bought🤔...hoping their shooters!!

The monsters yes. Not the regular ones.🤷‍♂️
Reg Mrds come 200 in a tin, these were $5 more for 50 less....BUUUUT still cheaper than shooting regular pellets through the umarex Komplete🤣. I almost regret buying 2 tins of the original 15.89g versions last year as they fell apart past 50Y badly for me vs an 18gr (excellent under 40Yards) in the S510. They also (as per some YT reviews) shed alot of there speed as well, vs a reg diabolo (safer but not great for L-R).. They are a little gimmicky in that the expansion you think you are getting is not likely the case at the ranges many pests are shot at. (I have tested this in water jugs extensively) I stick to plain ol heavier Diabolos if shooting past 40Y. Inside 40 Y they are devastating....but so is everything else I shoot🤔 These ones look to be Mrd shallows with the head punched, and I have no idea why I need them😏🤭 ...Science?! The Ghost will send them....soon!

Komplete 🤭 I’m certain that it will be great for someone. You know the reason that I hadn’t tried CPHP’s was because your results with them I was figuring match grade barrel means they should be very consistently close tolerance but obviously there’s still variances. So you still have to try different pellets because you never know what your particular rifle is going to shoot well. I don’t know why, but I still feel like there’s something left on the table, that there is a pellet that should be able to get close to 70 yards under a dime fairly consistently. 🤷‍♂️

That's actually the crazy thing about this hobby! Just because someone tried ammo X in gun Y doesn't mean it will be the same results in yours.... It's usually similar but def not for sure. Last night it was too dark after my work to try the new Caldwell rest so I plopped the ghost on it and aimed at the kitchen wall for 5 minutes (wife became concerned)..Definitely easier to keep steady and cradles the bottle lovely!! 😍Groups should tighten up a little more now with the 👻. Scope is alittle slanted vs gun I noticed also🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Luckily I just recently bought this "shop tool" 😏

I used to drive myself crazy trying to level scopes when I was shooting NRL. One of my buddies turned me on to a handy trick.

Feeler gauges.

Flip out JUST ENOUGH to slide between the bottom flat of your scope (where the turrets are) and the top of your scope rail. As you tighten down, the pressure will true the scope to the rail. Slide them out and torque the rings.

Good to go.

whhaaaa I'm gonna try that!! Thanks for the tip. Been driving me crazy.....but there is one good thing, just before I shoot the Ghost I make sure reticle is crooked (top slanted right) than i know the gun is straight 🤣🙄 This weekend I need to get it straight and new mounts on S510 and it leveled, And finally torque everything properly. To date I have only ever tightened by feel, which works but....

Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, at work I’m OCD about torquing my electrical connections. But it took me a while to pony up for a proper torque driver of my own. I was so excited to get my Vortex torque screwdriver. Works great. Decent bit selection comes with it, but not complete. I prefer it at home. As for my range bag, I always grab the fix-it-sticks. They’re expensive, but they sure are handy. Definitely worth the cash if you can swing it.

I’m hardcore thinking about buying the JTS Brawn. I’m really impressed with my Airacuda, but I want a bullpup. All of my Airguns are massive. Anyone have any experience with them?
