Our first contender is a very unusual beast. It’s a benchrest version of the Air Arms XTi-50 Field Target rifle. And it certainly looks beautiful. Just look at that green/black laminated stock…
As you would expect from Air Arms, the finish is superlative. There’s the expected Lothar Walther barrel and Titanium HPA air cylinder among the high-end specifications.
But there is something a little unusual about these specs. You see, this is a benchrest air rifle, but not as we know it, Jim.
Remarkably, the Air Arms XT-50 Benchrest is available only in .177 caliber and a UK-legal 11.9 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy. Hmmm…
But it’s still beautiful!

This second contender is at the opposite end of the caliber and power spectrum. It’s in .357 caliber and can generate a whopping 155 Ft/Lbs of Muzzle Energy with the FX Slug Power Kit installed.
