This build has been a year in the making. My Notos Money pit. Started life as a bone stock Notos. With the goal in mind to Crack 50 foot pounds as i set out on a amazing Journey which is airgun modification.

Started to gather all the parts I wanted to use, once all togther i tore into the rifle like a rabid beast. Porting the block and transferports as far as they could safely go. Not enough I thought 🤔 i then got with Chan over at C88 machining. He makes alot of great aftermarket goodies for the rifle. I got 2 of his power plenums and a 500mm Fx barrel kit & hammer weight. Then the Huben dream drop block regulator. A good friend (Adam Migel) donated the carbon fiber bottle and a grip.
Terry at BuckRail provided the grip adapter. IMO the best modification for the Notos. Enabling any AR grip and buffertube.
Assembled and tuned i was able to get 52 foot pounds of energy 😳 yea you read that right.

The rifle still remained extremely light weight even scoped. Accuracy was on par with most anything out there. JTS 22.07gn & Fx Hybrid slugs where the winners. Boy can this thing drive tacks. I ended up backing the power down to a mild 42 foot pounds where the harmony was steadfast.

Enter a 380mm Barrel kit.

I thought being so light why not knock it down in overall length as well. The 380mm fx barrel kit did just that. 31 & 32 inch respectfully with a Muzzle break or DonnyFL Tatsu. Power level 40 foot pounds.

Over all this has been one of the most fun & modular builds i have done over the years. The Notos is a Swiss army knife of sorts, you could say.

I dont know what the future holds for this little money pit, but I know whatever it is, it's going to be a blast.

Ooooh, no!! 😵
I am intent to avoid this particular rabbit hole!!

I know there are no garantees when it comes to avoiding rabbit holes in airgunning
anybody could fall victim to their molecular warp hyper-suction.

But I will purposely make a wide berth around this particular hole.

Because it's so dead-deep..... 😱

➠ Enjoy your cool gun —
I think you really have build a one-of-a-kind gun ⭐
and that in and of itself is cool!! 😎

How has it been going? Have you stuck with the 380mm barrel? I'm up in the air between the 380 or 500 mm kit... Then I'm done buying parts for this thing I swear! I'm getting 890 fps w CPHP ported fully and plenum plus extension, hammer weight upgrade and stock barrel.

Cheap gun...?
⮕ For many of us it should be called "Money pit." 🤦🏻‍♂️

In the beginning years of my airgun journey I couldn't fathom spending $1000 or $1500 on a used PCP.

So, I bought a cheap PCP.
And then started to plan on changing everything to higher quality and higher performance.
Literally lying to myself I was being thrifty and saving money.... 😆

But at the time, I was at that particular stage of denial — denial that this AG hobby was worth to me much more $ than I would admit (even to myself).... 😉

Because adding the cost for LW barrel, Huma reg., larger plenum, forward cocking assembly, adjustable scope rings, bipod rail — just to name a few culprits — runs a bill much higher than buying a used high quality gun, that already has all that from the factory.

And the former, when wanting to resell it, still is a "cheap gun" with lots of mods no-one is willing to pay half of what I spent on it.... 😔

🔶️ "Cheap gun"?
Yeah, right.... 🤦🏻‍♂️
Money pit — that's what it often becomes.... 😆

That's some nice power you're getting out of yours! I've spent way to much on mine a few being the 500mm FX barrel kit, Huben valve, 500cc bottle, trigger kit, aluminum side lever, plenum, this thing is designed to take all of our money! Lol

What was the jump in fps from stock to the longer barrel? I was wondering if the 500 mm kit added around 90-120 fps? My notos shot CPHP at 750 and is up to 890/900 range after my mods. I got to Chrono yesterday!

If you bought this gun to tinker with, you won the prize. If you are looking for a good, accurate, dependable, competitive rifle, you won the booby prize. A $300 gun with $600 worth of work and aftermarket parts is still worth $300, probably a lot less. As I've said dozens of times before: quality is like buying oats. If you want clean, fresh oats, you have to pay a fair price. If you are satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, those are a little cheaper.

I build them because I enjoy it. That 300.00 dollar rifle will shame some costing 5 times as much. I dont look at cost when starting a build. Because that build is for me and no one else. I have a dozen 2k dollar rifles and they all have a job. The ones I enjoy the most are the ones I have gone through and built up. I take alot of pride in my builds. To each his own some build um some buy um 🤷‍♂️

Prizes are to be won on top a podium finish 💯

Got mine at 860 fps with all the upgrades. I've moved onto other guns im now upgrading so it's just sitting in the safe. I'll probably sell it soon as I'm sweet on my new FX Dreamline Tactical 25 cal I'm having so much more fun with it. I just put on a 580 cc carbon fiber bottle for extended shot sessions along with my Pard DS35-70 night vision scope. Still getting used to this thing as I sure don't want to break it twisting and tuning especially while cocked and no dry fire allowed on these FX rifles either. Gonna be up to 35 degrees here today but snow tomorrow so it's my last chance to shoot for awhile!
