I love then all, but pick the HW50 by the smallest margins! Plus, I have a Diana 46 that's right there with the HW50!!

I've added two HW50s to my collection, one in .177 and one in .22. Both very accurate shooters, but are they hard to cock! They fool you because the first half of the cocking stroke is fairly easy, then it increases fast. Better hang on because you might loose your grip on it.

Hmmm, I find mine easy and smooth to cock. I guess it’s all in our perception.

You might try a small amount of a molybdenum grease at all metal to metal friction points. Orv.
