Who here is attending The Berkshire Airgun Challenge ?

John at New England Airgun has been trying to get an event going for years. He finally accomplished this and it is being held in Granby MA.

The range there is INSANE. This one should be quite interesting , October, in New England? In the berkshires? lol

Its in the hills and forest of New England. They already host NRL 22 matches there and have a 1000 yard range.

I plan on going to the event in its entirety to write something up about the experience and document it, not as a shooter, but maybe I will partake in 1 event but for now, the goal is to go and keep you guys updated on the events.

Anyways, here's a couple links.

Won't be going, but sounds like it will be great!

In the middle of the fall with the foliage , its going to be a beautiful sight to see!
I will definately be there for one of the days if the weather is good. Yes, I am a fair weather airgunner. No reason to get dirty, wet, or cold unless I'm making money.

I actually want to watch the big bore, because I don't do that, and long range is really where it's at for fun. I'll bring a big bag of Dorito's and cheer and eat a chip at every steel plate hit. I'm looking forward to it.

You know, all these events need a good name to catch on. They should call this event "The BeACh" it would be easier to say and pass on and talk about. Go ahead and use it, it's a good idea! See you at The BeACh!

Long drive from Florida. But who knows, my wife has been asking to go to New England during the fall for years.
It is a long drive. I have done it many times over the years, but I never enjoyed it at all until I stopped driving on I-95 entirely. Take the inland route, no tolls, beautiful scenery, only adds 2 hours but is so worth it. Ever since I saw protesters shut down I-95 over some stupid crap, I will never take that highway again.

I am driving down to FL today , I have done this trip 4 times, first time was to get Peri, turned and burned, left at 130pm Friday, got home at 8am Sunday.

This is the best advice, I take 84 to to 81s, 81s all the way down and cross over SC to hit 95 for the last leg. i find it takes the same amount of time even though its more overall miles (gps says longer but with 95 traffic stops it ends up being the same, for me), better fuel mileage as theres almost no traffic traveling with the truck drivers, and its easy sailing and better views running through the Shenendoah Valley.
