PCP Taipan slash. Who’s behind it?

The price on this gun is waaay too much for me and semiauto has mostly looked like a novelty to me, for serious long range work…feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, I’m still a noob.. but yeah there’s a reason my first gun is a barra 250z that I’ve obsessively tuned and modded…..

BUT!

This slash looks freaking incredible. I want the .25 with the power kit so I can set it at like 115-120fpe and not destroy my shot count…as a man with 2 baby mommas disposable income is at a premium for me sadly… but I will absolutely scrimp, save and sell weird feet pics online to buy this gun… short enough to be a truck gun but powerful enough to drop coyotes at 150-200y.

That would be a great comparison video:
Huben , Rattler and the Slash! Who wins? In a theatre near you!
Never shot either but from videos I’ve seen and tuners I’ve talked to the Huben and Leshy are probably the gold standard semi autos… the rattler and Mordax look cool but I haven’t seen much on people actually hunting with them. Mostly a lot of mag dumping…

I have also seen a lot of good reports on the Karma SLS… I think because karma is in the AEA family people are a little shy but I’ve seen good stuff. I think it’ll even shoot hybrid slugs nicely.

This taipan feels like something different. Seems like a serious sporting rifle. Like an AR air rifle. Not just AR style body but also a highly accurate semi auto gun that will shoot medium to long range really well. I’m a noob so I’m prepared to be corrected but the Taipan feels more serious than some of the others… I could see taking this hunting with some of my powder burner friends and them being like “woahhhh.”

You have watched these right? The Venom has my interest for sure.

Yeah I saw those… in one of them it’s Sonoran that gets most of the action… the Mordax and venom both look really cool and great for short range pesting. Easy for nighttime coyote hunting too… but mostly they seem like fun guns or short range… this Slash looks more like a long range slugger that I can have super easy and fast follow up shots with.

With my singular experience with Taipan being good enough (I did have an issue with the pellet probe and its housing that I fixed myself, it was binding up) accuracy was/is excellent. I would definitely buy another one without hesitation.

It’s funny how accuracy will make you more tolerant to BS 😂.

Yeah I’m with you 100%. Ultimately it’s why I’m so obsessed with my 250z. I keep pushing it further and further out and it never fails to be exceed expectations. There are plenty of things about the gun I would change but I can’t put it down because it always puts a slug where I want it.

I'm getting hands on with the Slash but won't be sharing anything until August. To me it looks like what the Edgun L2 should have been with a better trigger. For me I need to get some use out of the gun rather than just pulling it out of the box, shooting a few groups and calling it a review. IMO semi-autos are not a novelty, very useful in serious hunting scenarios.

I can’t wait to see what you decide on it. I’m a subscriber and really appreciate your reviews… and you’re right semi auto isn’t a novelty. The Leshy and Huben are both seriously good… I should have clarified that it’s the full auto ones I personally wouldn’t have much use for. The Mordax is really cool but for the price there are a lot of other guns I’d choose over it. Same with any other full auto I’ve seen. Except the sidewinder. I don’t know a whole lot about it. Is it accurate past 100 yards?
