Browsing PA’s recently added section and here sits this beauty. For the life of me I cannot understand how some of these things go from an idea on paper to a finished product in production without SOMEONE saying “Hey wait a minute guys… I thought that design was a April fools prank or something, turn off the BB gun making machine quick! It’s churning them out as we speak!!)
How does this happen? Or is it just me that thinks this is FUGLY and ridiculous looking? This looks like a gun that guys that sit in coffee shops in Seattle would think looks “tactical”. This looks like the kind of gun you’d imagine your super liberal crazy aunt from Portland would freak out over and take to one of those “Turn in your guns Day” at the local police station after she found it in her teenagers closet. It looks like something Joe Biden would hold up on tv during an anti-2A speech and say “mumblmmm strumblmmm umm” before he turned and walked to the back of the stage and tried to shake hands with an invisible person.
Someone got paid to come up with this…. And then multiple people went along with it! And I’m not just bashing on Stoeger here…. They aren’t the only ones putting this weird crap out. It’s becoming more and more common to see this strange, non ergonomic looking fake-futuristic stuff hitting the market. Is Ai designing this stuff now? Cause I’ve seen some ridiculous Ai created images of guns on the inter webs also…
Maybe it’s just me that thinks if they sell five of them it’ll be a miracle… I dunno. But heck, for all I know it might become the next big thing and everyone has to have the new Stoeger Bullcrap Future-tron Electro-gasm and all the Fx guys will abandon ship and become Stoeger aficionados and Airforce will finally update their line with the futuristic lines of the Stoeger (but they still won’t put picatinny rails on it.) and Crosman will make an even worse looking version but in blue or pink with a 45 pound trigger pull “semi-automatic” revolver action.
Good grief…3819B852-D4A9-47AA-A88F-DD568D5F42EC.webp

HardAir I’m sure they’ll send you one of these to test and promote. Heck they are liable to send a whole pallet load of them to you with $100 dollar bills taped all over them. But please, I beg of you don’t sully the good name of your magazine with this. Someone has to stand up and tell them it’s getting too crazy. Think of the next generation of shooters and the abominations they will have to deal with that will spring forth from the loins of these misfits if they are allowed to propagate! What if one of these escapes and breeds with a Crosman 1077 TAC? Then what will we have? I shudder to imagine!! I can only guess it would be something straight out of the book of Revelation.
Please HardAir, if a weirdly shaped package arrives to you from Stoeger don’t even open it.

The colors and design might not be your cup of tea, but they offer something most do not.from the factory adjustable length of pull inserts. They also come with two magazines. These are additions any one of us would like in our favorite brand.

The front vertical grip is tacky, but it’s meant to be removable.

It’s just basically a snowpeak P35.

Funny thing....I was on GoTendas website tonight and the (AA) CZ s200 in same wood stock as yours was in stock AND on sale! I was surprised they still are out there new. Now that gun is gorgeous 😍 I resisted the urge 🙈

As long as it meets your needs, I'd take performance over looks any day! Have you ever kilt a critter with looks? Wait, I might have.

Or those that want a rifle that’s performance punches in above its price point. Sure you can order a snowpeak from Krale, but if you want a US based warranty the Stoeger is the way to go.

I had a 177 Maverick and sold that because of low performance to price. My used 175 dollar BullShark is a keeper.

Looks isn’t everything, especially when it can shoot.

This gun has been a work in progress for a while; P15, Skyhawk(good looking), P35, and now this. Basically something for everybody and not worth getting an aneurysm over. Now, full-auto, 100+fpe airguns, that's a whole other thing.

Work in progress? Explain?
A progression; barrel, receiver, started out with the P15 by SPA, Diana bought importer rights to US and sold it as the Skyhawk, SPA designed a forward cocking lever (after a guy in England did) and called it a P35 and then Stoeger gets it's own version with a different stock to call the Bullshark. All these guns come from SPA and use the same parts bin. I have had a P15 for years so I have followed its evolution with interest.

I kinda like the looks of that ranger or scout . There not so funky looking of the stogers... Lol . 🤤
The Bullshark is modular. The grip up front truly aids in off hand shooting but especially for cycling the gun off hand. Shooting from a bench I’d personally go will the Scout or Ranger because it’s balanced more for bench. The forgrip on the Shark is totally removable and was built with that in mind because everybody has a shooting preference. A lot of bull pups don’t have this option and maybe reason why people see it weird. Personally, I think they all should in some fashion.

It sounds like you are talking from experience. I may never have the opportunity to use this piece of equipment, but I like that you have explained the concepts that may be of value to other members. It seems to be hard for members to think "Out of the Box" about new ideas. Nice job! ;)
