Reximex Tormenta Lite Will Be Here Soon

The Reximex Tormenta Lite is another Turkish PCP air rifle that will be available soon in the USA at Pyramyd AIR.

HAM has reviewed one Reximex air rifle – the Throne Compact Gen 2. We liked it and though it offers good value for money. The Tormenta Lite may fall into the same category.

(And for those wondering, there’s not actually a “Tormentor Heavy”! There is, however a “Tormentor” that combines a similar action to the “Lite” model, but with an additional HPA cylinder in the buttstock position).

The Tormenta Lite is one of the company’s new models that were featured at the IWA OutdoorClassics show in Nuremberg, Germany back in early March 2025. It’s attractively-priced at $399.99 and Pyramyd says that it will be available in August this year.

The Tormenta Lite follows the now-familiar “black gun” PCP air rifle formula. It has a sidelever action with rotary magazine and AR-compatible furniture. There’s a Picatinny rail on top of the breech for scope mounting.

It’s also light at 6 Lbs 3 Oz and compact at just 34.75 Inches long with the stock at full extension.

Available in .22 and .25 calibers, the maximum Muzzle energy is 32.6 Ft/Lbs in the smaller caliber. It’s 36.09 Ft/Lbs in .25 cal.

But there are some differences from the usual PCP format too…

As with some other Turkish-manufactured air rifles, the low – 200 Bar, 2,900 PSI – fill pressure will be an attraction for those who hand-pump their PCPs.

Also unusual in an air rifle in 2025 is the un-shrouded barrel. There’s a “moderator” (so Reximex describes it) screwed to the muzzle end of the barrel. However, this looks more like an air-stripper than a silencer. Backyard shooters may wish to consider an upgrade here…

One area that I feel is a credit to Reximex is that they give a full parts diagram in the instruction manual. This one covers both the Tormentor (see the rear tank?) and Tormentor Lite.

Not only that, but they also include a full parts list with screws, pins and O rings all fully described. DIY maintenance enthusiasts will be delighted with this!

Another good thing about Reximex is that they have bright yellow magazine rotors – as in the case of the Reximex Throne Compact Gen 2. This makes magazine loading MUCH easier in dull lighting conditions.

As we can see from the photograph above, the Tormenta Lite is bundled with two magazines, a single shot tray, plus a Picatinny rail for the stock’s forend. There’s also a female quick disconnect and adapter for filling. Very good!

That’s not a bad looking little rifle. I’ve grown to like several of Reximex’s offerings. Although I’ve only purchased one of their branded guns (RPA). I do have two Akelas which this current offering looks to share the action and air tube with. If not the same, very similar. I could see another Rex in my collection. It’s getting hard to justify the pinnacle price tag on airguns more and more. For the average pellet shooter I think the $500.00 - offerings are getting better and better as time goes on. At 10-50 yards I think most of the guns in this price range are more than capable of satisfying the majority of shooters. As long as you’re not expecting $2,000 fit, finish and feel.

Interesting, but not the reximex release I was hoping for. They keep "Lieva" it out, and it was supposed to be available a couple months ago. 😔
Do you mean the Lyra?

The daystar looks awesome to me!

As @PA_AirHead said, the budget offerings are getting better and better. To be honest, I think one could argue they bring more fun, but I guess that depends on who youre talking to.
