I recently posted on here that I had bought a new Daystate Huntsman Revere from AoA. When I shouldered it I thought it was a perfect fit. If it had iron sights I could have hit any target on my backyard range. However the scope required high rings to clear the magazine and that took away the good fit. Having had my neck fused my aye alignment was off. The solution would have been to have an adjustable comb installed. I have done that on several shotguns but was not inclined to do so with this air rifle. Airguns of Az were very cooperative and issued a RMA. It is a shame as I really liked the rifle, it is obviously a high quality gun just like my HW100. I am glad my Benj. Marauder .25 didn't sell on eBay. It consistently out shoots the HW100 .22 but is well challenged by the Armada .177. I have attached a photo of a highly modified Beretta 390 and a std. weight 20ga Remington 1100 skeet guns that if I tried to sell I would never get my money back. It is hard to get even on mods.

I definitely understand. It sucks to have a well made gun but the magazine design doesn't seem to have been a strong consideration in regards to mounting optics. That sounds like a bummer. Many folks speak highly of that rifle.

It is to laugh..lol. Sights on a gun .. what are you knutts .. what kinda bazzro thinking is that ? come on man . ..lol

That is unfortunate indeed! Possibly too late now but there are companies that make custom mags for issues like this on pcps! Carm (UK) and Maple custom mags (Canada) both do larger capacity or smaller capacity mags, lo pro, and single shot loaders. If they don't make em you can ask and they probably will. Something to check anyways.

Hey, I'm old and nostalgic for the, good ole days.
Remember, it is hard to be nostalgic if you can't remember anything.

I have bought from Maple Custom Products and they are a great company both in products and service. I use their single shot loaders on my Marauder and Armada along the the indexing mags. I jumped the gun and ordered the same two product for the Revere, which I no longer have a need for.

It is a rare occasion to get your money back in airguns, especially pcps.

The problem that Daystate didn't address when they switched to the new taller magazines is changing the comb height of their stocks at least 1/4" to 1/2" higher. The cheekweld would've been a lot more comfortable in my opinion. My solution to this when purchasing new airguns now is to get a stock with an adjustable comb like the Revere Safari.

That is a good point of info. Makes me only consider the Safari now. Thank you.
