As some of you know, ratting is one of my favorite pastimes on a Friday night. We from time to time visit one of my favorites, the Rat Highway. This location is usually always a sure thing for getting down on the rats and now that it's getting into summer they have become a bit more plentiful. For this trip I outfit my BRK Pathfinder in .177 that is shooting just under 16fpe and topped with the DNT ThermNight multi-spectrum unit. Terry brought out his Weirauch HW44 in .22 that's topped off withe DNT Zulus. This was my first time using this kit together for a dedicated ratting adventure, we plan to do a written review of both of our kits very soon. I tried filming this one a bit differently and have been trying out different angles as well with the cameras....hope you can enjoy it. Cheers

Watched it....loved it!! Lol looks like the .177 were still punching holes in the steel!....even after passing through the rats? Or was that blood splatter on the night optics? 🤔

What you are seeing is not a hole, its the thermal signature of the friction the pellet makes when it hits an object. On one of my very high end thermals you can actually see the bone structure of animals, looks more like an x-ray. Lol
Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't think it would punch through!?👍
I have zero experience with night optics.
