Others Pros vs cons of 3” more barrel legth?

I'm going to take mine apart sometime this week and get a measurement. Aren't new one's supposed to be 23 inches? It doesn't give the length on the accessories page for the 1100Z. I'd buy one immediately if it would help with my rifles accuracy problems!

I’ve only seen a couple owners refer to the actual lengths. I might email Barra.
To get a quick idea of my existing barrels length I put a straw down the muzzle until it made contact. Seems to be around 19”.

Here’s a quote from Hajimoto’s web site for a baffle stack he sells.

Only fits the 19.25″ barrel length version. Middle to late 2023 produced 1100Z barrels were increased in length to 22.25″ eliminating the free space that used to allow a spring and baffles to fit.

It depends on what you want out of your gun. An extra inch, depending on how tight your bore/choke is can give you between 5-15fps, also depends on where, or if, you are running a reg, high or low. So if you touched nothing else you could see between a 15 to 45fps increase. If you want that, go for it. If you want increased shot count, without a reg, lower your fill pressure and you will get a longer string with an uptick in es, but still usable. More power, no reg, increase your fill pressure and only use the top of your power curve, less shots but low es and high accuracy. If you are using a reg, you can set it as low as needed to get the velocity you want for the most shots, or as high as you want for the most power. The extra barrel length is good for extra power or effeciency but the trade off is that depending on what you use your gun for it might be pointless. For example, if all you want is one or two super accurate magazines, you could just stick with the short barrel and up your pressure, shoot to the top of the bell curve and you'd be fine for hunting. I haven't mentioned it yet, but you could also open your ports up which changes things up too. Bigger ports can having you using less air more efficiently with low noise, it is a win-win except that you won't have the flexibility for a high shot count tune. The longer barrel option is really only needed at the extremes, if you want the ultimate in efficiency or power or quietness, pick two. I played around quite a bit with my gen 1 Gauntlet doing all this stuff when it first came out. It has a 23" barrel and I settled on reg @95bar, tp @ .177 and velocity at 890fps. The guns are very similar except for the bottle. If what you decide is to go for power, you will need to get a suppressor to keep it it quiet and it will end up being very long and a pain to take anywhere. These are great platforms to learn on. Good luck!
