I recently found a deal on Amazon for a Striker and had a gift card. I got the Striker and gave it a quick cleaning mounted a athlon I use for testing and went shooting. I tried several pellets and found it just would not group. I put it away while on business and ordered some parts. I got a barrel band, new baffles, C88 plenum and gauge, and some scope rings to complete the build. The rail on top is not weaver non picatinny so had to find scope rings that fit.
I went through the whole rifle, polished everything and installed the new parts. I did find the regulator was set at 180 bar and pretty green. Cleaned that up and set the reg at 140 bar to start. The trigger also had some major burrs in it and after cleaning it is super smooth. Gun is really nice now. The issue is it still will not group, I mean 2-3 inch groups at 30 yards. I have other Pinty product and that is not normal. I really think it is the barrel the fps and spreads are really good.
I don't feel like the rifle as a whole should be warrantied as I have done a lot of work to it. I am not an unreasonable customer. I do think the barrel should be warrantied and I emailed Pinty. I offered to purchase the barrel and they got back with:
"Since the Striker was purchased through Amazon, we recommend contacting Amazon directly regarding the warranty claim, as purchases made through Amazon are subject to Amazon’s warranty and return policies.
If you would like our Technical Team to review the issue as well, please send us clear photos of the Striker and the area where you are experiencing the issue. We can forward the information to our Technical Team for further assistance.
Regarding the replacement barrel, please send us a clear photo of the barrel, including any markings or identifying information visible on it. We can use this information to check the correct replacement part and its availability."
I am not sure what images they need so I sent a few. We will see what they come back with. I am always interested in how companies support the product. I also do not want to send the current riffle back as I get attached to my test pieces
andI state the whole thing should not be replaced since I touched it.
@Pinty Official is there a plan to offer parts for the rifles? I think the modding community can help you with sales and they need parts and at min o-ring sizes and a schematic.
