Having a major issue from my new Nightfall Mk.2 looking for maybe some answers to keep from kicking it up to Kevin if possible. Hated the trigger on my Mk.1 but loved accuracy. So I got the Mk.2 a couple months ago. Checked it out, filled it up, set up my target stand at maybe 35ish yards, and installed a new DiscoveryOpt scope. I began by trying out the FX version of the Hades. Not even close. Talking 2 feet left, 3 feet low. After a full refill and half can of.pellets later, still no joy. Had the horizontal set, but still shooting a foot low. Had to resort to, after trying numerous other scopes and getting the same, to buying a set of adjustable height rings, basically mechanically shimming up the front ring 2 full clicks to get it on target! Now I know this ain't right, ain't even close to being right by any means. No way in hell should a barrel be doing that. Regulator is functioning fine, copper washer permanently added to top hat to prevent wild variation swings, and my chrony proves it shooting perfectly by fps average. I DoD not clean it with a cleaning rod to jack up the barrel, and have not dropped it, though throwing it a few times.has been pictured in my head, after stripping it like.A cheap dancer at the boobie bar first for spares....but no, I didn't do that either. Anyone with an idea of what maybe my issue is? Its got me stumped. Thanks in advance!

Jim Is the gun shooting wildly like a shotgun or is it grouping okey? I do not have any of their guns, but these are things I would consider doing if I had this issue with a new gun.

Measure the distance between the scope rail and the frame at both ends and compare to the original model of the gun that you have to rule out scope rail issue.

I would check that.

1st the moderator is not loose has not been clipped and damaged, and that the adaptor is not loose, screwed all the way in snug.

2nd try with no moderator.

I do not know if it copies the airforce guns using barrel bushings or if the barrel threads into the receiver/action of the gun?

Does the barrel look centered or cocked a bit? Can you move it with your fingertip?

3rd check that the barrel is not loose, bushing screws or barrel nut are snug and look at the crown, with a light at the breech look in the barrel for problems.

If no joy, I would.

4th pull barrel inspect for problems; they might possibly use an Oring to help keep the barrel centered, I don't know, then carefully reinstall.

No luck Consider sending back for replacement.

Chief, it groups great, just way low, and always to left, no matter the scope, high$ and lower end. Same with dots. Barrel wont move at all. It's locked in solid. It dont matter if muffler is on or off. Have even tried 4 different ones.
They do use bushings on the barrel, they just a different size from the AirForce ones I think I read.
Hmmm, the crown. Looks like it may have a nick in it. Thanks Chief. Least now I know what could very well be the cause.
