PCP Only 1 PCP rifle, Which Rifle

I don't have New DRS yet so I can't comment yet. I did purchaseit though ,from your reviews & a few others here. Although I would choose my Raw for pure simplicty. although your choice is great for the changing of calibers Raw in my opinion is built Heavy but built tough. Thank you. I am eagerly waiting for the DRS I got it in.22 700 with a (beautiful Woodstock) that pics don't do it justice , that I have future plans for. so now I am waiting for S T chassis in grey 2 weeks out LOL The Crown is my close to second

I was also told , remove the Reg from the Raw & that rifle would trouble free for years to come . A worry free air rifle. I pondered this idea as to build a .22 slug rifle. ! 1 of 1 I am someone who thrives on results, big deal it will be un -regulated. I own a .357 AAA Slayer that is un-regulated. & it is built rock solid, that's how T C builds them with no BS & no cheap parts. If you are 1 to shoot matches that s 1 thing but for hunting know & or learn your projectile drop .Take a look at the Texan line up they are unregulated. I had owned a Texan .45 LSS with 580 cc bottle shooting 360 grain AF ammo .458 @870 @ about 600 FT/lbs with outstanding results @ 100 yards. Ya I was on a power trip just had to try it though !! Been their done that.

Airforce EscapeSS, TalonP or Escape same basic gun but the EscapeSS has built in baffles. I have 12 inch .177, .20, .22, and .25 barrels for it and my 18 inch .25 will work in it as well as will the 24 inch .22 slug barrel and .30 TJ barrel. All of the 12, 18, and 24 inch small caliber .177-.25 barrels and the small or large air tanks will work with them. As well as the TJ .257 or .30 specialty barrels. It is just a matter of how much power you want and how many shots per fill. Airforce is a very versatile platform. But being a single shot is a problem for most people. Regulators can be added. I like a 4.5-6 pound gun that can be as powerful as I need it to be for whatever I am doing. I can go from about 12-106 FPE depending on the barrel and air tank I put on it with any one of these guns, and I only need to fill to 2600-2800psi to get max power so it not too hard on my compressor. They have a lifetime warranty, and only 4 O-rings. Very easy to work on and about 5 minutes to change a barrel. The only leak I have ever had was a gauge. These are guns that you can feel confident about buying used and they are very light weight for carrying in the woods.

Having owned a Texan it is remarkable how they can generate power on a simple platform. In your case 1 rifle with endless options. I myself didn't mind single load. I even had a Emperor on the end @ times when shooting stealth ! All you could hear is whoosh, as the projectile was cutting through the air. It always put a smile on my face, & never broke or leaked

If I could only keep one is a different question, but I have not tried all PCP rifles so I don't have the one.

I do know I would keep my Pinty Falcon X of my current rifles. Second oddly enough would be the Avenger. Both are super dependable and do everything I need. I have thousands of pellets through each of them and they never give me a moments problem. Never resealed either, or worry they will leak. Pull a patch only when I am feeling bad about how I treat them. May not be the nicest ones I own, but would not trade them for any other rifle.

I think if I could have one more it would be a FX Panthera MK2 700 or a Epic ONE Walnut with Arca-Swiss. Hard choices! That is a 2027 choice.............

Well I haven't tried enough stuff to say but for 2026 it's my fun gun. Sucks gas like a V8 but it's my sk-19, it's light, not too large, straight forward. I just figured out the issue I had adjusting speed yesterday evening. I'm ready to see the accuracy of a lothar walther barrel and see how it does with accuracy out to 100 yards. I have not completed my air rifle journey far enough to say this is my answer a year or so from now.

I purchased a heartland air "prototype" in 30 cal threw it on the zelos and my gosh it's unbelievably quiet. I was shooting 90-98 fpe and it was most quiet I've heard at that power level. The fatboy with the small extension is close but so much larger.

Tough question, and the answer is always changing. I don't own the actual one gun I'd keep, I know that much.

IF, and only IF, my Paradigm had a .25 pellet barrel or a .22 slug barrel on it, it could be that one. But, not in .30 like it is. Plus, the stock does get in it's own way, but the gun is certainly made to last. It will outlast me, I know that.

There is so many things to consider when limiting yourself to one. One for what? "All around" means nothing to me because I want something that is the best at shooting something, not the best at just being the most versatile (aka vanilla). I'd have to give a lot of thought to what activity I honestly believe I'd want to spend my time doing the most and which I could give up. Right now I'm mostly interested in plinking between 55y-250y but that could change real quick. Then there is always the question of which one do I want to put up with, working on, here on out, too.

I'm glad that I don't have to choose now, but the time is coming soon and then I'll have a real answer for you, lol.

At this point, with what I know it would have to be my Ghost as a do-all pcp. Way easier to work on than most pcps, can handle being slapped around a bit (except it was big $ so I don't & won't🫣) has minimal o-rings, and an moa pic rail.
Same gun could be tuned from 12 fpe with the 17inch .177 barrel and cranked up to 120fpe in .30cal with the elusive 28" barrel, a quick turn of the reg knob, and a hammer spring swap, probably 20 mins plus resight.
Lots of pricey Brk accessories that I refused to buy for it so I got all aftermarket stuff.

However saying all this....I'd have to sell my S510 and that sure ain't happening😂

Ascent, 3 calibers and built in pump. Perfect one and done. Although... Tom Gaylord in his "history of airguns" article said no built in pump is what makes a gun a pcp... so I can use that logic to call it my pump gun and then Texan brush gun 457 as my one pcp. 🤔
Hold the phone! @PapaT you have the AF Brush gun? I know you have the bigger model, how you like the brush gun? Might be a bit much for rats n such😵
The FPE it makes with that small barrel is wild.
