Alpha/Delta Wolf Old vs improved valve comparison

Using the old valve I could achieve around 1000 fps in .22 using jsb redesigned 25 grain pellets at reg pressure 165 bars.

With the new improved valve I achieve same power at just 135 bar reg.

Does the new valve open in Atmospheric pressure?

Did the old valve also open in Atmospheric pressure?

Or both the valves don't open in Atmospheric pressure?

Any idea what makes the new valve so efficient?

When updating to the new high flow valve in my Daystate Delta Wolf .177 HP, I experienced a 50-60 FPS increase in all my existing custom setups and could therefore, like you, turn the regulator pressure down and still get the same velocities as before using less air

Have they converted the valve into a balanced valve? Or what else made it possible?

The valve has always been a balance valve. The new iteration has better design airflow channels. Look at each one side by side. The holes for air flow are different. Also the new valve closes faster giving better efficiency.
