Ok I’ve decided to boot all toy grade guns

When I take a cheap gun out and side by side shoot it against the best and it shoots the same, even if only once, that is awesome to me. Where is the awesome in something great, shooting exactly as expected? It's expected after all, and it's great. I like having great but I have no skin in the game, I just bought it. Tinkering is just a different, rewarding way, to have fun I suppose. It's not a bother or a waste of time. If it works you have a sleeper, if it doesn't you learned something. I am thinking about getting one of the Macavity guns, as they are so different from all the other low priced offerings, just for the hell of it.
I agree but man NOTHING is perfect even the good stuff.... my S510 is mighty close though 🤣😍. My new ghost is plagued with small silliness (love her to bits!) but it needs some trigger loosening, a better tank gauge, chasing consistent ammo still.... My TX is excellent but trigger side to side is sloppy, walnut stock came technically unfinished and I spent a week finishing that ($1200 .177 springer!) Today I was finally shooting my Slavia 630 ($150). I have no way to get the open sights working without modifying, parts are scarce and it seems futile to bother when I look at my other 3 but it's still soooo fun, maybe someday it will shoot as accurately as the TX for a fraction of the coin!?

For most people, a fairly crappy gun will be fine; they just want to make a can jump at 8-10 yards or hit a rat they can't quite reach. But once you experience good stuff, your tolerance of true garbage decrease. Unless you're really cheap like me!
I agree. Once you have shot a really nice gun it’s hard to get excited about the cheap ones.

I think I'll join you in getting one as well when the production models comes out. I'll probably go with the 25 caliber.

This is the reason we own more than one pellet shooter am I right?! 😋 Of my (now 4) there is always one getting something needed or wanted or it's just off and the gun is down for hunting at least. If shooting is slow or weather is cold oh well tinker and test away. Weeelll starling/grackle/sparrow,etc season is basically here so I need em good! Only gun I trust right now is the S510 so it's staying as is till the others are on point. However if the gun is generally crud and often broken its gone. My gun issues are usually my own fault go figure 😅. Can't leave em alone some times!

I'm thinking the short .22. I have chased enough performance lately. I want something smaller and sedate.
I'll go with the short version as my shooting range is a measly 25 yards. No reason for me to get the long version as I only hunt a few times a year so if I can't shoot something with a carbine length gun I might as well hang it up! With all the shooting practice I get weather permitting I'm always at the ready.

You’ll be fine with a carbine i hunt with a leishy classic and that’s the king of compact and it’s fine. I’ve made shots I couldn’t believe from a 250mm barrel shooting 25.39 jsbs at 700

Thanks for that Mike. The McAvity Arms MA2 package with 3 mags and included silencer for $444.00 just seems hard to pass up at least for me. I wonder when the production models will be released to the public?
