Others Offhand Springer Challenge - Anyone interested?

I did better than I thought I would. I have a Williams peep sight on my R7.

I hope I make it to 85, nvm shooting a nice group like that at 85. Well done. It almost makes me want to get a new springer.

Been a while... but shot Bell Target again recently. This was with my Barra Sportsman 900, 4 pumps, Barra Bowie pellets, 10 meters, 10 shots, straight out of the box (didn't even adjust sights, which had a loose windage screw). Score is 28 (+/-1).

I wish I had seen this when it first came out. Now I will have to give it a try. I feel like if it were a real bell target, you have to get inside the line to score the higher number, rather than the usual paper target scoring rules that count the higher number if you touch the line. I'm sure first attempt will be abysmal, but I hope to improve with practice.

Did we decide on 8 shots or 10?

Now I see Bill M proposed another competition, so I'll take a peek at that one too.

I always do it as 10 shots, personally. I don't know that anything other than "off-hand, with irons" was ever established. Also started as sproingers, and I added in pumpers because I can't help myself.

The neighbor dropped off an old gamo brake barrel, iron sights with really old pellets.

We interpreted “off hand” as standing.
