Notos Notos 380mm FX barrel & pellet update

I guess the Notos is old news , But not to me I am late in the game with the money pit, LOL,
I am NOT impressed with the FX barrel,, I have the Carm and a few other after market magazines ,, And they all jam with the Crosman 14.3 Pellets . ANY shallow skirt pellet will jam with all my magazines ,, Quarter size groups at 30 yards , I have tried the H&N 18gr baracuda, , the H&N Field target trophy 14.6 gr , JSB 18.3 gr, JSB 15.9 Hades , The GTO 11.7 gr pellets so far group the best, But I an't shooting expensive pellets in a cheap gun, I have already dumped 600 $ in after market parts , Its still a NOTOS,,, Maybe I need to work a little on the FX barrel,, Some one posted work on the barrel, I am looking for it ,,,Oh, I am running about 820 FPS Average ..

Hi Mike, sorry to hear your having problems with your FX Barrel on your Notos. One thing you might check is to make sure the FX barrel liner is installed with the tiny circle band around the end of the barrel goes toward the breach of the rifle where the pellets go in. I installed my first one backwards and it caused the exact same kind of problems you seem to be having. I've done a few of these conversions now and no problems once i corrected my rookie mistake! Lol. Hope this helps.

Yes your talking about where the grub screw lines up to the barrel , And that locks the barrel in place,, Also lines up the port, I think If I had that wrong my FPS would be way down because the port not lining up???
