Nightfall regulator upgrade - huben cricket MAX w 50cc plenum

Has anyone tried upgrading their stock nightfall regulator with a cricket max? It seems like a drop in replacement. The plenum is much larger and the top hat is adjustable would would be a win for this gun since some seem to have problems with the top hat engaging the firing chamber fully. More power on tap and a larger bottle could be fitted.

I am new to airguns so if there is more to the story please enlighten me, but this seems like a no brainer upgrade if you want to shoot heavy slugs or increase power.

I agree it looks like a drop in since the nightfall is similar to the airforce product. I think the issue is these are newer low priced option so there is not a lot of experimenting yet.

I have just turned my attention to Pinty and will be playing with them this fall and winter. I might try this upgrade. If you do buy it let everyone know if it works.

I think that you are still below the price of the Airforce with the upgrade so it makes sense to do it. Many time it is cheaper to buy the original version that to upgrade a low cost. Also for people who need to upgrade a little at a time this looks viable.

The stock regulator has a 20cc plenum, the cricket MAX has a 50cc plenum. It's a different item. It looks like a drop in replacement though.
