Good Day I am in NewSouth Wales Australia, I will be new to Air Rifle shooting, ex Pistol shooter, I am currently waiting to get a permit to acquire a Air Rifle, you guy have no idea how easy you have it in the USA, in Aus Air Rifles are considered to be a fire arm and you must be licensed I just received my license after 51 days since my application, so now I have to apply for a PTA (permit to acquire) and now I have to wait a further 28 days as a cooling off period before I get a permit to buy a Rifle, the Police then come to my house to make sure I have a Gun safe suitably installed to hold Firearms, a pistol license is far more involved, I have a Weihrauch HW100 .22 waiting for me, so in about another five or so weeks I should right. PS you have to have a good reason to hold a Firearms license if they consider your reason not good enough you will not be given a license, I had to join a club for a target license and I got knocked back to have Hunting included on my license. anyway thanks for including me in the Hard Air Community regards ponsey.22

Hi, I recently underwent this painful exercise, 6 weeks for the license and 6 weeks for the PTA but now I have my airgun, an Aselkon MX6 in .177. I am from the Hawkesbury area in NSW and only target shoot. I am still going through the process of selecting a pellet that suits my gun. The shortage of JSB pellets has limited my testing but I have just found a couple of tins so I am off to the range, this time with a newly acquired FX chronograph so I will have some results to post.
