Field Target New HFT shooter & set up

New sport to try this season among the many other shooting disciplines i shoot. Hunter fieldtarget is what im now learning, yesterday was the first time practicing for the upcoming USAFT season. Well the guys that do it make it look so easy, its not

Off hand shooting has never been my strong suit and or shooting from sticks. I was practicing off hand and stick from 50 35 30 25 yards yesterday, using my Rx target systems American fieldtarget set up. This has all size targets i will encounter during HFT matchs. I made alot of good hits and alot of missing as well.

Set up is a Motorhead tuned Bsa GoldStar 177 cal tuned to 18 foot pounds using a huma regultor & huma shroud. Scope will not stay its just what i have for now, arken sh4 4-16x50

Shooting 10.3 grain Jsb at 895 fps it is very accurate and will get job done. Bsa cold hammer forged barrels are world renowned for there accurate and it has not disappointed.

The Minelli stock with fully adjustable buttpad and hamster come with this rifle. From factory it is a 12 foot pound rifle. The person i got it from had it retuned for HFT.

Should be a interesting season full of great matchs and camping with our son.

Nice looking gun, have always liked the Goldstars and the R10s. Only thing that kept me from buying one for field target was the left side loading with the range wheel being in the way. Also I am a lefty and all I saw until recent years was RH only stocks. Good luck on your upcoming season with your family.
