Two new Daystate Performance models have been announced. They are the Alpha Wolf Performance and Delta Wolf Performance.
Both Daystate Performance models incorporate a new ultra-fast flow valve. This enables the Muzzle Energy to be the highest of any Alpha Wolf or Delta Wolf version yet.
The “HP” versions gain a power bump to a maximum of 120 Ft/Lbs in .30 caliber. In .25 cal, it’s up to 86 Ft/Lbs. .22 caliber guns can achieve up to 82 Ft/Lbs and the peak power is now up to 39 ft/Lbs in .177 caliber.
At least that’s the case with the 23-Inch barrel models, as shown in the photographs in this story.
Soon, Daystate will be releasing models with a 28-Inch barrel. This will undoubtedly increase the power level still further. Precise performance specifications are still to be confirmed with the longer barrel.
The Alpha Wolf Performance looks quite similar to previous versions. However close observation shows that the forend of the laminated wood stock now carries a black finish.
And at the other end, both Performance models also feature Dayatate’s new Gecko, anti-slip ventilated butt pad. This is 10mm deeper than the previous model and has been machined from composite using state-of-the art, 3D manufacturing processes, the company says.
In fact the Delta Wolf Performance model is easier to distinguish from its predecessors. This is due to the new pistol grip and forend.
The The Delta Wolf Performance features a target-orientated Gecko grip. Like the buttpad, this is CNC-machined from composite. Its ambidextrous design incorporates a high-grip surface with a more vertical rake.
In addition, there is a thumb rest shelf that’s adjustable for height and angle. The shelf can also be moved to suit left- or right-handed shooters.
Up-front the Delta Wolf Performance now incorporates an extended aluminium forend, allowing for superior bipod placement.
This black-anodized forend incorporates grooves for Swiss-style ARCA fittings and slots for M-Lok accessories. It offers a flat surface that’s ideal for a benchrest and target competition.
Along with other Daystate airguns, they will soon be available in the USA from Airguns of Arizona.
