New BRK Ghost Zero PCP Air Rifle

New BRK Ghost Zero PCP Air Rifle

There’s a new BRK Ghost Zero PCP air rifle that’s been announced by the UK manufacturer. And yes, it’s going to be one of the new models that will be seen for the first time by many people at the 2026 British Shooting Show.

The main difference between the Ghost Zero and the other Ghost variants is that it is equipped with a 300 cc capacity HPA tube instead of a carbon fiber bottle.

New BRK Ghost Zero PCP Air Rifle

Some people prefer the looks and handling of a tube-fed PCP air rifle over the bottle gun equivalents. So – if this applies to you – this could be the Ghost you have been waiting for!

But you’ll need to be sure as this is a “one time” decision. Apparently the HPA tube version cannot accept a carbon fiber bottle, should you change your mind in future. But for most people that’s probably not an issue.

With the exception of the HPA source, the new BRK Ghost Zero PCP is very similar to the HAM Gold Award-winning gun tested by Hard Air Magazine. That scored an incredible 98% in our testing – one of the highest scores ever!

The only major difference would be the lower shot count of the Zero, due entirely to the lower capacity HPA tube. The same range of calibers – from .177 to .30 is supported, together with the HP versions which are popular in the US market.

Oh, and the price is a little lower. Probably few people will object to that :-)

The manufacturer confirms that the BRK Ghost Zero PCP air rifle will be an addition to the product range. All the existing Ghost variants will continue to be available.

The Zero will be available in the US too. Airguns of Arizona has them on order and is currently projecting availability in late January or early February 2026. Check out the AoA website for forthcoming price and configuration details.

I can’t think of much anything else (I can imagine the price point ) in this hobby I would utterly pass on faster than that. Going to be expensive, it’s completely fugly and if I want a fugly ghost I’m spending only 600 on a Zelos

Could be its twin lol. The bottle version is far more versatile? if going ghost just go all the way. Bottles available: 300, 480, 580, 700cc. I do wonder how much cheaper it is and if its any lighter? If not much then its dead in the water.
100% and the bottle version looks good. See no point in buying this if you are going to bottle it…just buy a ghost to begin with. Lol. I can’t imagine this zero version is going to have any resemblance to a low price. It’s going to be ridiculous for what it is.

Walk me through why you think the BW was a flop.
Well it doesn’t shoot light pellets well and it hasn’t been proven to shoot heavy slugs well. 1 guy has returned it and they had to put a sub moa barrel on it to get it to shoot decent. Cave dweller changed his barrel and the damn thing is just too expensive for what it is —. A flop.

Pretty minimal evidence. "1 guy"

Cavedweller changed his barrel so he could shoot it for field target.

You're right, a high power configuration, meant to shoot heavy slugs doesnt do well with light pellets.
Trying to stretch the use of a platform isn't a problem with the platform, but rather the ubiquitous airgunner, "have our cake and eat it too" mentality.

I agree with you about it being generally expensive, not so much about the "for what it is" part.

I wanted one, but so far it’s not very impressive accuracy wise for the price. As far as accuracy goes, it does not seem to be any more accurate than the Ghost. As many sponsored shooters as there are, not one has competed in any major benchrest events, unless I missed it. I was one step away from buying the Chassis .30 version. I have difficulty with not seeing them being used in major competitions. Everyone states that it is because it’s too new. Are we to believe that not one sponsored shooter has had a BW prior to release to practice with? I don’t know, I’m asking? How does that stack up to the $2400 Red Panda, which had at least three podiums as a new release.

The Panda isn't an apples to apples comparison. The barrel that went into the unicorn that won all three bigs a few years ago was apparently an outlier. If all Red Panda barrels were that good, they would have kept stacking up the wins.

The Red Panda took first place in Pro 100yd BR at RMAC 2024 and 2025 and Sportsman 2025. At the same time Daystate and BRK shooters have been competing with sub-MOA barrels that were not made available to the general shooting pubic. I’m not criticizing it, it’s common practice in most competition. I’m just stating that’s not exactly apples and oranges either. I hope the BW does well.

Ya know i believe the blackwolf was planned by chopping the middle out of a ghost and adding a bit to the front. I also think this would have been a good idea but they should have figured for a bit more power and not have gone off the reservation looking to make it all powerful. They probably would have made a good gun. Which would have been a good thing. But just from what you have seen their quest for ultimate power really made it a mess for what seems to be most shooters.

For sure. The team shooters have access to what the manufacturer hopes is the winning equipment, regardless of team or manufacturer, it happens.

I was trying to make the point that there has only ever been one gun, a Panda ( and really only ever one barrel, since that's the primary source of accuracy) that has won all three big events. That singular exceptional barrel, in the hands of THE best airgun benchrest shooter, isn't exactly a fair comparison to broad brush a general comparison of the Panda vs the Black Wolf.

So, we know that one of the three new rifles to debut in 2026 is the Ghost Zero. Maybe one of the other two will be some form of BW remix.

In regards to the almost too powerful, Daystate was simply making what they thought the market wanted. And many in the market do want that uber power that's capable of launching big heavy 30s and heavy .22 slugs.

I agree with what you’re saying. The Panda is extremely specialized (weight of a canon). I for one wanted a BW because I thought the extra power would be fun to play/experiment with. Purely for recreation. But, being new to PCPs I didn’t realize that there could be too much power, that couldn’t be simply tuned out. I learn a lot from these discussions/debates.

The grain of salt about me settling into the too much power stance with the BW is to remember that I'm a low power airgun fan.

For those that want to shoot .30 pellets to increase their chances of winning a a long range benchrest match, or those who want shoot the newest .22 slugs in the 38-40 grain range, the BW is their huckleberry.

To get back on track about the newest Ghost configuration...

One thing not pointed out is the width of the tube version. The frame of the Ghost is much narrower than the bottle.
A tubed Ghost is going to be roughly half the width of a bottled Ghost.

The result being what I can only imagine is a MUCH more svelte feel.

Personally I think it screams: “we’re in a design crisis”. They’ve ran out of new colors to use and call a new model and so they came up with a “Zero”. Not exactly what I’d call a new model, just a different trim or edition. Just kidding, not really lol.
Its the zero calorie edition man, drink a coke zero while shooting your Ghost Zero....I can just see the ad now lol. I hoped for some real (useable) mods for the Ghost but knew they'd come up with just another re-skin.😕

And...ahem...on that note, if you could please stop neutering the BW you have and slap on the stock L.W. 1:17.7 slug barrel and start sending every .22 slug you can get you hands on at various speeds, that would be most appreciated 😍.
Just sitting on the edge of my seat here, lol.🙏

Thats the thing though....its already a top heavy pcp🤔. When you look down at it the bottle is the widest part of the gun. With the Zero if you put a 50mm bell scope on it that now becomes the widest part. I find a 480cc bottle the perfect size to hold for offhand shooting too. To offer the B.W. in a bottle or cylinder config makes more sense to me.
