Tested the Gunnar again this morning. No changes . It is still wacky. Removed all baffles didn't make any difference. Damn it was loud without the baffles. Couldn't test with single load since it was not easy to hand load without a single tray. I doubt both magazines became damaged at the same time though.

Not sure what else to do at this point. Hopefully I will hear back from Rich at Airgun Revision next week to see if he has any suggestions.

BTW, chrono still showed between 870-889 FPS.

It has to be a burr or something. Maybe now pull the barrel and push a pellet through to see if there’s damage to the pellet

Spoke with Rich on the phone. Very nice and knowledgeable gentleman. He had me inspected a coupe of things but I will be sending the gun back for Rich to do a total check over. Airgun Revisions customer service is top notch

I was gonna ask If there is any sign of pellets clipping the muzzle end/silencer if it has one. Yeah sounds like it's still a fairly new gun and for this to all of a sudden happen when it was shooting so good before, tells me that something is loose or as Mike suggests something lodged in barrel. Have you shot any non lead pellets through her recently?

No only JSB 25.39gr since received the gun. Have not shot it with anything else. I'm sure Rich will solve the issue.

I think my Benjamin Gunnar .25 is broken . after only a few hundred rounds, it's accuracy has become very erratic. It is 4-5 inches all over point of aim at 40 yards. It was pretty accurate at 50-60 yards and I designated it as my pesting sniper. I thought the barrel needed cleaning but it is the same after the clean. Tested it with 2 different scopes just to make sure. Gun seems to function fine and my little chrono measured the speed at 890 FPS. Only thing I can think of at this time is the barrel is so soft that it deteriorated after only a few hundred shots.

Just sent an email to Rich at Airgun Revision to see if he can help. I hope there is an aftermarket barrel option available. Can't find any instructions out there on how to disassemble the gun.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for troubleshooting.

I think you might have a regulator problem, perhaps a seal has gone bad. Unfortunately, this will require disassembly of the air rifle. Since the rifle is new it should still be under warranty. Call the Dealer you purchased the rifle from, and, if not satisfied, call Benjamin. Somewhere along the line a repair should be offered. You will need to ship the air rifle to one of them unless your dealer is local. You will have to pay shipping to the repair shop.

I don’t want to compare brands; however, I have a Walther LG 300 that I have owned for many years. After nearly 8 years the rifle began shooting erratically. I didn’t dare take the rifle apart. After weeks of stumbling around like a drunk in a blacked out bar fight I finally found the US Walther fix-it shop. I sent it in with a letter explaining what I could and telling them to call me with the bill so I could pay over the phone. Since this was an Olympic type air rifle I expected the worst when it came to the fix-it price. About a week later the rifle showed up at my door. I opened it and looked at what appeared to be a work order. It said the regulator had been replaced. Ok, I tried the rifle and it worked perfectly. I called and asked what the price of the repair was, and Walther said it was repaired without charge. Being no idiot I didn’t push the point. I didn’t ask why and I didn’t care. My rifle was back on line and I was happy. AD2

I prefer to find the issue and fix it instead of a new gun. Want to learn the cause so I can fix it myself if it happens again.

100% agree with getting the one you own fixed vs just getting a new one (if it's fixable of course!) Learn what happened, get your baby back, resume shooting it, back to hopefully its regular accurate self.

Getting a different one there’s a high chance of it being different in a bad way

Best to get it fixed. Could get a bad barrel or some other problem if you get a new one! At least that's been my experience. Rich will fix you right up!
