I wouldn't touch it.
Detunning it is not needed.
It's tuned now. Go shoot.
Do that after 15-20k rounds.

I had the option for tuning when I bought the rifle. Being new to all of this, I didn't know if it was worth the extra expense. I'm very pleased with the way it's shooting, so for now I'm not thinking about tuning.

Thay are wonderful right out of the box.

I've been shooting powder burners for over fifty years, but I'm a newbie when it comes to airguns. I've been reading a lot about tuning, some people swear by it and others say it didn't make much difference. There's all types of grease that people talk about. I've read a few comments that say if you disassemble a Weihrauch it voids the warranty. It gets a little confusing after a while.

I have a Beeman R7, same gun essentially. I put a peep sight on it and LOVE it.

The Williams FP AG will do great with the front sight. Plenty of Vertical room.
I'm solid at 15 yards. Depending on the front insert used.
Red Dots are a blast. It would be cool to have a Synthetic stock HW30 and a Red dot to just leave at the daughter's Farm.

I ended up putting a Hawke Air Max 2-7 w/AO on it. Hands down my favorite airgun to shoot. Can't keep my hands off it.

Yes, in factory tune is around 7.5 fpe. I have two and one I installed a Vortek Delrin spring kit and seal and it shoots 8.2 fpe. This rifle doesn't need high power.

In Germany the rifles are 7.5 joules or 5.5 FPE

I have a Beeman R7, I bought used. I put a TruGlo front sight on it.

It's a little big, but the post is relatively thin with a fiber optic pinpoint on top, and the brightness is adjustable with a rotating sunshade. In the back I have a Williams peep. Can't remember if it is FP-AG or FP-GR. You can get different diameter apertures for the Williams. Check out Midway.

Universally, the HW30S / R7 are SWEET Shooters!
