Does the gun have a regulator gauge? Maybe you’re experiencing regulator creepThere’s something else going on to, my gun will shoot 8 very consistent shots then drop about about 80fps or so for a couple shots, this has me puzzled a bit
it does, I'm considering getting a huma for itDoes the gun have a regulator gauge?
Yeah I’d keep an eye on the plenum pressure and see what it’s doingit does, I'm considering getting a huma for it
I am not an AAA expert so take this for what it is but I remember Tom saying not to fill their guns with compressors that run silicone oil, can cause internal issues, guming up as ctshooter suggests. Do you by chance run a Hill compressor or something similar? Maybe that silicone is getting inside of it? Do you know what speed it was shooting when you got the gun, verify that breech o-ring is good?Remove the hammer spring completely and then remove the hammer as well. Check to see if it is all gummed up. At one time my spring chipped of a good amount of the blue paint on it and it had gunked up the spring, the hammer and the tube area where they all move back and forth. Once cleaned up and then lubed with the CLR Tom recommends my issues completely went away.
My symptoms prior to this find were similar to yours. Things had slowed down a bit and I also gotten very erratic fps to where my ES was up around 50-60 fps if not more.
thanks for the reply, have you got instructions on how do do that, you can PM me if you want but my gun hasn't had much useRemove the hammer spring completely and then remove the hammer as well. I'm getting my air from a dive shop so that should be good, not sure about the breech o-ring you would think the gun should be louder or a blast of air where there isn'tI am not an AAA expert so take this for what it is but I remember Tom saying not to fill their guns with compressors that run silicone oil, can cause internal issues, guming up as ctshooter suggests. I’ll be getting an AAA soon and will have to take that into consideration.I am not an AAA expert so take this for what it is but I remember Tom saying not to fill their guns with compressors that run silicone oil, can cause internal issues, guming up as ctshooter suggests. So if Tom set it up to shoot the 18gr, what speeds were you getting? JSB 18.13gr shoots accurately somewhere between 830 to 920 fps. My Paradigm in .22 out of the box straight from AoA was shooting 1044 fps with 18.13gr and 931 fps with 25.39gr Monster Redesigned.I got it directly from Tom and yes I told him to set it up for the 18gr, I’d appreciate some pics if you can find some
Here's a good place to start...I still don’t know how to take it apart, no videos anywhere and no instructions
Definitely, but another option would be to have a decent filter unit in line to catch any contaminants/water before going into the gun.I’ll be getting an AAA soon and will have to take that into consideration.
Was planning on buying a nomad but I think that compressor uses silicone… I checked out a few other portable compressors and they also use silicone… would prefer to fill directly to the cylinder and a 12V small compressor seems ideal. Scuba shops are close by, but I’d rather not carry tanks around.
