Knock off Easy peasy

OK got my knock off in and it does not work, It comes with a little rebuild kit but screw that, If it does not work out of the box I am not doing a rebuild kit..Its all metal no plastic any where , I tried three different probes , air leaks out of the handle when you push it down, Got hold of ali to see what I do next,,,

Well, mine won't be going anywhere. If I get the same problem I will do surgery to figure out why and let you know. Mine are supposedly arriving soon.

I got a free shipping label to ship it back, I really don't want a refund just another one ,, Just getting through and talking to some one is impossible,,,I got a new Alkin and I don't mind losing air in the hose with bottle gun fills us , But airing up the little PCP pistol tanks 5 to 10 times the air in the hose adds up, But not really , Just be nicer

The real one works great and operates trouble free so it for sure checks out. Others here on the forum will back me on that. Chime in if you've had a different experience. Hopefully the knockoffs will show up in a week or two.

I believe ALL of these things are knockoffs, meaning, they are all made in China. Yes, I am aware that some may be total garbage too, but these devices are not so common that everybody would want to get into cloning them either. They have been selling them for quite a while now, and I have read about them on several forums and I haven't heard about anybody gettting hurt yet, and news travels fast around here. I am done talking about this until I try them out myself.

We look forward to your valued opinion as well.

I got mine in and tried them out and they both work fine. I like the parts kit they included, but since they both work, I won't be tearing into them until they stop working. I am not sure that I like them as a product yet. I was filling a 200b gun from a 300b bottle and I was a little nervous about the possibility of overfilling for some reason. It will be more of a concern if I let someone else use it. I just feel there is more security to hands on the bottle valve. I'm sure that it's just because I am not use to it yet, so I will give it some time. It seems well made to me, but I don't have any others to compare it to either. This version is all metal. Someone with experience working on both will have to chime in.

Dogowski, I'm assuming that will probably be you, quick question, did your Edgun unit come with the same parts as this unit did? Thanks!

I always appreciate included parts so I don't need to go searching when I have a problem. I really hate down time.

Looks pretty well made to me with the aluminum handle and foster type fitting with 6 detent balls. I'll find the box in the garage that the Edgun unit came in tomorrow and check for the parts.

Expensive Chinese too. To be right upfront, every dime I spend on this sport I do not expect to ever recoup a cent. It's spent it's gone. Warranty? Forget about it. If I can't fix it, I don't want it. In the trash. It's a hobby, a pass time, not an investment, that I get out of what I put into it. That's all.

My cheap knockoff came in the mail today. Not the same as the Edgun unit at all. The weak spot is the small spring under the handle. It could easily get lost if it comes flying out. It did come with 2 parts kits to rebuild if needed so thats a plus. It has a 6 ball detents in the foster type fitting where the Edgun has a 5 ball holding setup. The Edgun is a totally different made product as owners of this know. Its made of all heavy cast type aluminum with a wide profile beefy low profile handle so the spring under the charging handle is less likely to become hit, lost, or damaged. It just came with 2 rubber and 2 nylon seals and the port to service requires snap ring pliers to remove. Thanks to Pumacarl for helping out with this comparison!

Same here, i tested it on a 3000 psi fill rifle that was low and it filled ok. All my higher pressure guns are full. I did this only for our testing purposes and it's strictly a backup incase the Edgun unit goes down. I like having all my fingers and I'm going to keep it that way!

I'm not concerned with the filler, I'm more concerned with keeping a hose charged up and all the connections on that. I think that is the weak link here, not this unit. I'll find out.

If you're like me and most of the rest of us Pumacarl, you take very good care of your fill items especially. My tank was full at 4500 psi when i tested the knockoff i got in the mail today. I think the only way to damage it is to bang it around or drop it on something hard like a rock. Oh, i forgot the Edgun unit i have comes with a fill probe for their guns as well. I just forgot to put it in the photos as i just leave it in the box since i don't have an Edgun rifle.

The hoses and their connections are what I watch when I am filling and I am constantly running my hands over all the hoses and connections up to, and including, the compressor itself. I use YH's and they are loud enough that you don't hear problems starting, you have to feel for them. I have had a few leaks, over the years, that I have caught early doing this. I have not had a full on leaky hose yet but I have seen user's video of a hose sprayed with leak detector foaming like a rabid dog! I wonder if that's people's pets chewing on their hoses when they aren't paying attention, though I never heard anyone ever mention that happening?

You're right about the hoses being a weak link in our fill bottle setups. If your filling on the ground and step on the hose accidentally and it gets marred from a rock underneath its game over on the hose. If mine gets dinged or dented in any way i change it out and i keep a few spares of the hoses to change out as needed and just throw away the damaged ones after taking off the fittings of course!

Well.... Most of the time the OG works but an annual rebuild is the norm for mine.
