Hey just wanted to show off my just finished build and to show other Karma owners what they can have for their EQs
Any chance you got some info on a slug tune just got my karma eq in .30 cal a few weeks ago after being on backorder for 6 months the out of the box tune was great for the lightest pellets available was putting golf balls around at 50 yards but once I started wanting to test other ammos even of the same weight the point of impact was all over the place so I started messing with the tune and got my eq all out of whack nowHey just wanted to show off my just finished build and to show other Karma owners what they can have for their EQs
I looked for this post . & Bingo. You love to modify . Looks like HP .30 is your cup of coffee. That what I enjoy custom riflesHey just wanted to show off my just finished build and to show other Karma owners what they can have for their EQs
Yeah I do love .30 cal but mostly because of the power range. I feel like 80-100fpe is good for most of my shooting. But I need the option of 120fpe+ for coyotes.I looked for this post . & Bingo. You love to modify . Looks like HP .30 is your cup of coffee. That what I enjoy custom rifles
It funny we have to modify these rifles to get what we truly want . It's called perfectionYeah I do love .30 cal but mostly because of the power range. I feel like 80-100fpe is good for most of my shooting. But I need the option of 120fpe+ for coyotes.
I think I like .25 cal the best because of the potential for high BC slugs is really high but until very recently it was hard to find a regulated .25 cal that would push 120fpe+
But yeah it’s funny because I didn’t grow up “handy” but I became a machinist/tool maker a little bit before I got into Airguns. I was also a physics major for a couple years in college. So when I found out easily modified these guns are I was hooked.
Feels amazing to take something and make it unique.
So the new AEA sonic will do 120 in .25 cal and I’m pretty sure there are a couple more but that’s besides the point. There is no .25 that can push that type of power. .30 & up. It's funny we have to tear into these riflies to get what we want out of them . It's called perfection 308 ? We all have HIGH expections for these rifles when we purchase them. Whether you spend a lot or a little. Doesn't mean a more expensive rifle will not leak or break down . They all will @ own time or another. Sometimes you could go years with out any faults. If you take the time & look @ waranty these Companys offer it says something. 1 example FX 3 year warranty. ( This is the window were it is most likely to not have any Issues. Daystate offers 5 years ? .I understand all the Hype of having regulaters in our rifles, but , do you really need one? I believe certain applications do , But not all . No reg . one less problem , reg creep, reg leak etc, you know what I am talking about. In a hunting application, 1 to 5 max . If you know your rig well , you know its capabilities. One example is I was hunting for coyote , 2 came in my line of sight . I was able to hurry up get 1 sighted in drilled 1, the other kept on going an . I thought the other was going to circle back , but it kept on going. That was with a un -regulated rifle. Off of a full fill you don't loose that much speed or spread between shots. This application works well for hunting. My point being un-regulated suits myself just fine. No promlems to be had without having or needing a reg to add more issues with. Sometimes no reg = more power. Reg delete. My adreline was through the roof! It was 0 degrees with wind factor.
I had a Airffce texan .45 LSS with 580 cc bottle on rear . , A DFL Emperor on . This rifle was quite, & accurate past 100 yards off a tri-pod LOL. 365 grain AF slug .458 over 600 FT/ LBS of energy. I myself was un-sure about single load as well , but let me tell you . , it was actually fine. simple rifle that did really well. Way to much power for me.So the new AEA sonic will do 120 in .25 cal and I’m pretty sure there are a couple more but that’s besides the point.
I completely agree on the unregulated guns. I’m gonna get a .308 Tex Rex eventually and shoot those 150gr slugs with a .810 BC. I’m gonna hurt a lot of people’s feelings when they see the Zulus footage of me dropping a ‘yote at 300y.
I’ve just been reticent because I hate single loading. Plus I love the puzzle of making a regulated gun do bigger numbers.
Basically I treat my .30 cal like .22LR and it’s my rimfire replacement.in the sense I want them to shoot as flat as possible to 100y and have enough power to drop anything you’d use .22LR on…. Nothing against rimfire on the contrary rimfire is fun! But my last 2 builds can do everything they can do but in places you can’t shoot .22LR and much quieter.
The part that surprises everyone until they see it is a 60-70gr .30 cal slug in pure lead is absolutely savage on critters. I well tuned Airgun with the right slug is a freaking scalpel.
