I'm not associated with this company in any way. If I'm breaking rules by posting the product website feel free to take it down. I just know that this is a good product that helped me fix leaks professionally before retirement. And I just wanted to help my new to me community.
A couple years before I retired from Carrier (the AC brand "Carrier") factory service i was introduced to a product that impressed me in fixing leaks, any leak, not just refrigerant leaks. a product Nylog Gasket Thread Sealant RT201B Nylog Blue.

It's thick like honey and amazing how it stays together. If you put some between index finger and thumb and seperate the two you'll be amazed how it resists separating.
I wouldn't use it for moving part wear protection as it would slow things down. I also wouldn't use it where it could get in orifices and block flow. But on mechanical fittings like compression fittings of any material, gaskets, O-ring seal joints, and threaded fittings I had great success stopping water, air, and gas leaks. Just a very thin film is all that's needed.
Hope this helps some of you guys/gals with your air leaks,
Joe
