Have A Macavity Arms MA2 PCP Air Rifle? You Must Read This!

If you have a Macavity Arms MA2 PCP air rifle you must read this! The company has issued an urgent Service Bulletin related to the product. For completeness, we’re showing it below in full.

For more details, contact Macavity Arms directly at cs@macavityarms.com

Macavity Arms issuing an important service bulletin for all owners of the Macavity Arms MA2 PCP air rifle, based on recent findings regarding long-term reliability and potential safety risks under certain usage and environmental conditions. Please note that this is not an optional upgrade but a mandatory safety service.

⚠️ Immediate Action Required: Please Degas Your Rifle

Due to the MA2’s regulator valve seal structure and gauge port sealing method, there is a possibility that, under extended use or in specific environmental conditions, component wear may occur faster than originally expected. This can potentially lead to:
– Minor air leaks
– Abnormally high regulator pressure
– And in extreme cases, excessive pressure may cause air cylinder failure and pose a safety risk.

For your safety, we ask all MA2 users to degas their rifles immediately and keep them unpressurized until further servicing. Please refer to the following video for proper degassing procedure.

Now I am really happy that I went with Airforce. Too Bad for Macavity. I always considered it a handsome Rifle!
Don't be so sure, this is most likely an easily fixed problem, one and done. I own both, and like both for different reasons. However, if I just want to zone out and plink, I'm never grabbing the AirForce over the Macavity. Ever.

I have the JTS and the XM1 for the plinking stuff. lol
It's good to have choices! I love how accurate, and how impervious, my TalonP is to poi changes, but I honestly find it to be a bit of a pain to just plink with. I would change nothing on it though, besides the trigger internals, it is what it is, and that's dependable. Of all the airguns I have, the MA2 is the best plinker, a joy to just shoot, smooth.
