I got to thinking about scoring paper after some bad tearing. So I applied what tape I had around to the back. Painters tape does a good job and is relatively cheap. So if you are wanting to score a target at home easily on cheap paper, you might give it a go.

Drawbacks are the paper sometimes wants to curve to the memory of the tape.

Search ebay for blank 8 1/2 x 11 target paper. Put that through your printer. Better than rolls of painters tape.

I bought 2k sheets a few years ago. I’m just giving a suggestion to folks that want to use what they have access to. Some are only occasionally shooting targets for score. Just another tool in the toolbox.
